to Northern Star...Our 3200 square foot custom built home is a beautiful and tastefully appointed luxury chalet ideally located minutes from restaurants, bars and all of Big White's amenities. Northern Star is finished to the highest possible standards, with a gourmet kitchen, cherry floors, TV in all rooms and a private hot tub plus a steam shower in our master bedroom. Floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Monashee mountains, After skiing, enjoy a revitalizing hot tub or a steam shower before retiring to the games room for a game of pool. With three floor to ceiling fireplaces our home is an ideal place to enjoy the great Canadian outdoors. Northern Star will not disappoint.

Location

Located in Big White's prominent and centrally located White Forest Estates, The Northern Star offers an excellent location to all resort amenities. Our home provides a private and intimate setting, with easy access to to the runs, lifts, and the village centre.  Everything is less than a 10 minute walk away!

 

You have a few simple steps to get to the lifts from our home.
There a two different options. The walk to the lifts in the village is less than 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can ski down to Happy Valley by taking the trail located at the end of the cul de sac, over the skier’s bridge and down to Happy Valley and the Gondola base station. Take the Gondola up to the village center. From there, turn left to access the Plaza Run that leads you to the Ridge Rocket and the Snow Ghost Express lifts, or right to the Bullet Express chair lift.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary . Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund!. Please be considerate of your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure.
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included. Guests staying 10 nights or more receive a complimentary change of towels & bed linen every 7th day. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for a fee
Internet Availability & Usage Internet service is provided by a third party. We cannot be held responsible if there is a lack of or quality of service at any time.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Big White Ski Resort.
Maintenance Emergencies In resort support provided. Complete emergency contacts provided for booked guests.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 11 people. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction
Missing Items Guests authorize credit card charge for replacement of missing items. When applicable, we will discuss additional charges directly with you, after which your credit card will be charged for the cost of damage or missing items.
Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11:00pm to 7:00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting form the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11:00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11:00pm out of respect for our neighbouring guests.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice, however guests will be notified via e-mail of changes prior to their arrival.
Property Damage Guests authorize credit card charge for actual damages. When applicable, we will discuss additional charges directly with you, after which your credit card will be charged for the cost of damage or missing items.
Rental Accommodation Zoning This property is legally zoned for either short term, or long term, rental accommodation use.

Terms of Eviction The following conditions and circumstances will result in eviction from our property: smoking, excessive noise, pets, more overnight guests than permitted by owner will result in eviction. You will be evicted for excessive noise, common and private property damage, disturbing the peace.

This unit is wonderful. Very spacious and well equipped. We cook our full Christmas turkey dinner here. Wendy is the best property manager as well. She called to check and make sure that everything was fine and then even popped over to check on things again and bring us a bottle of wine. We were a little early for the snow but had a wonderful time. Hope to go back next year again. .The only negative was the dishes are very chipped and need to be replaced. They are so nice and rustic though. I would recommend this unit to anyone. It is very close to everything and was very comfortable for the 6 of us.

Spacious and private on mountain home

Spacious on mountain lodging with tasteful decor and relative privacy. The property is ski-out, and nearly ski-in with just a short walk. It's just below the village, but walking up was easy and because it's a standalonge home there is more privacy than in a typical condo unit. A very good option for a larger family, or for two smaller families.

stand alone chalet, so no 'next door' neighbours, which makes for better privacy; spatious, comfortable and clean with lots of room for 10+, has everything you'll need for a great time, just bring your own food and drink, (and maybe coffee filters and garbage bags in case there aren't enough) Hot tub could have used a maintenance check as the pump/ jets didn't seem to be working properly and it would have been nice if the snow had been shovelled away from the garage doors, and stairs to help keep things tidier inside. Parking room for 4 vehicles (2 in, 2 out) without risk of being towed, 5 minute walk to the ski lift, 10 minutes to pubs and restaurants. If you can afford it , you'll enjoy it.

We had a large group that consisted of families with children, and couples without. The chalet was immaculately clean when we arrived, was well stocked with linens and kitchen items, with everything in good working order. Hot tub was maintained well and the chalet was spacious and comfortable. We would most definitely stay here again.

This chalet is by far our favorite on Big White. We've stayed here two times and our whole family agrees this is the best place to stay for our annual family New Years get-away. It is spacious, has everything you would need in the kitchen and close to the ski run. Love it!!
