Located on the third floor in the 18 suite Timbers complex, our single level home features a spacious entry, open kitchen, dining and living room area offering elegant comfort. Covered deck and private hot tub accessed from living room and master bedroom. Master Bedroom has a king-size bed with full ensuite bathroom including steam shower. We, Kim and Harald, are the owners of A Timbers Getaway. We also own Cozy Cabins Nature Resort (www.cozycabins.ca) which is a private lakeside resort located in the North Okanagan area. We have been welcoming guest for over 12 years in the Okanagan area and hope that you enjoy your stay at our new addition/home at Big White.
All staff at the resort were very helpful and courteous! The accommodations were great! However, one thing that I would recommend,coming from someone who is sensitive to dust, is to ensure housekeeping vacuums under and behind furniture and dusts all surfaces of night tables, etc. My allergies were acting up. As I was looking for stray toys under furniture, I noticed how much dust there was under and behind the furniture. Also, behind the master bedroom bed there was a huge amount of dust on the baseboards. We only used the store once, but I would like to see more organic and high quality meat options, etc. The cross country wasn't track set for classic when we went and a bit rough, as the snowmobiles use some of the same trails. I was on my skate skis, I was fine, but it was challenging for my friend. I loved that we didn't have to get into our car, once. The on-hill accomodations is great, I love the ski in and ski out. This is a great resort and having the option to be with 2 other families on the same floor made for a really great time for both children and parents. We will be back! It was such a good time and the snow conditions were amazing! All in all, an amazing time!
Our family of Husband, Wife & 2 large teenage boys found our accommodation more than satisfactory. The lounge room, Kitchen, bathrooms, Hot Tub were excellent, the only slightly negative thing (& it is not a terrible thing) was the lack of clothes storage in both bedrooms & maybe a drying rack to put near the fireplace. Otherwise it suited us perfectly.
Immaculate unit looks up towards the village. Ski out - take the lift down to your locker- put on your ski boots and walk 20 metres to exit the building. Depending on the snow base, we took 5 paces up onto the snow, put on the skis and skied straight to the gondola which takes you to the village centre. ( it is the another walk or traverse to start skiing though!) Ski in - take a very nice cruise down Happy valley or gondola way to the back door. Being able to leave our bags at the unit (prior arrangement confirmed when booking) was fantastic. The air recycling system I found noisy ( I am a light sleeper)
