We offer competitive rates by constantly comparing our rates with other Mountain Star rentals. All of our rates are in Canadian dollars for up to 8 guests. In order to book our property you must be willing to accept our policies as well as our posted rates and minimum stay requirements. All rates are subject to the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is not included in the rates below. We DO NOT charge the 2% municipal tax, nor the 7% resort fee. There are NO additional charges for normal cleaning or parking. We accept live instantly confirmed reservations 24/7 with secure online payment by credit card. Mountain Star is adjacent to the Coast Blackcomb Suites at the highest location on Blackcomb Mountain. Take a look at the Mountain Star from Highway 99 photo in the photo gallery that shows its location on Blackcomb Mountain. It's 100 meters to the Lower Cruiser Run (see Ski In Out Map in the photo gallery) and within walking distance of the Tube Park. It's also in close proximity to the new Olympic Sliding Centre. The free shuttle to the Village stops right at the base of the driveway.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies
|Cancellations Made by Guests||Payments are 96% refundable with 4 months notice. All other payments are non-refundable, except if booking can be replaced. Refunds or portions thereof will be refunded based on the number of nights rebooked & rebooked rate. We will charge a 4% cancellation fee on all refunds. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. |Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal||The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. If you have not paid the balance, then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation.|
Guest Stay Policies
|Check-In Time||4 PM. Early check-ins may be possible. Please contact us before arrival.|
|Check-Out Time||10 AM. Late check-outs may be possible; please check with us. You will be charged $50 per hour from your damage deposit if our cleaners arrive to prepare for the next guests and you are still in our home. As they only have a short window, please use common courtesy.|
|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||Will be charged to your damage deposit.|
|Excessive Noise||Our townhouse is in a very quiet area! Per house rules, unreasonable noise is not permitted at any time. Excessive noise will result in fines and/or eviction.|
|Garbage Removal||The costs of removing excessive garbage, or garbage not properly disposed of and incurring a Resort Municpality of Whistler fine, will be charged to your damage deposit. Garbage left outside attracts bears.|
|Housekeeping||Our home will be clean upon your arrival and cleaned after departure. For stays greater than 10 days, a mid-stay cleaning will be provided. Additional cleanings may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense.|
|Internet Availability & Usage||Wireless internet is available with a wireless connection on your laptop. Internet abuse including, but not limited to, downloading copyrighted material is completely forbidden. Should the owner receive notification that such activity has occurred, the guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.|
|Liability||We are excluded from all liability for personal bodily injury and property loss in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property. We maintain full insurance on our dwelling and furnishings. This may not cover your personal valuables.|
|Maintenance Emergencies||Complete emergency contacts provided with instructions. 24-hour assistance is available.|
|Maximum Sleeping Capacity||8 people overnight.|
|Missing Items||Please let us know if something is broken or missing!. Upon checkout housekeeping will perform an inventory. Costs to replace missing items will be charged to your damage deposit.|
|Property Damage||Guests assume all financial responsibility for property damage incurred by themselves or their guests. Costs for additional cleaning and repairs will be charged to your deposit. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment, you agree to pay us for all damages you incur, including fines for improper garbage disposal. We reserve the right to collect a damage deposit ahead of time.|
|Rental Accommodation Zoning||Our property is legally zoned for either short term or long-term rental accommodation use.|

|Terms of Eviction||Guests will be removed for housing more than 8 people, violating the minimum age requirement, excessive noise, or destroying property.|
|My Web Site Guarantee||The townhouse will be clean and all in working order. Any deficiencies should be reported to the owner or emergency contact immediately, so that they may be addressed.|
|Reservation Guarantee||Property Sale/Damage-We relocate you to a comparable property. If there are any rate increases associated with the move, we will contribute up to $100 CAD per night towards rate equalization. If we fail to successfully relocate you, you will receive a full refund. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.|
|Snow Guarantee||If over 65% of the lifts are closed all day due to rain or inadequate/unsafe snow & weather conditions, I will give you a 50% refund/night for each day that the lifts remain closed. Valid January 3-March 31. You must call me the days that the lifts are closed so that I can confirm lift status.|
We live in Vancouver, BC. We are the original owners of our Mountain Star home and have been renting it to guests since 1998. We spend as much time here as we can, and our sons and their families enjoy spending time here also. In the summer we love to hike, ride bikes and ride the Zip Line. In the winter we ski, both down hill and cross country. We hope you'll love Whistler as much as we do!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mountain Star. The accommodation was comfortable, warm and cosy, and the features like under-floor heating and hot tub were a real bonus. The area was quiet so our evenings were peaceful. The bus stop at the bottom of the complex driveway made it really easy to get into Whistler, and once we had figured out that the easiest walking route back from Whistler village is to take the Excalibur gondola to the upper parking lot. This got us to the elevation of the path coming off the Merlin slope to Painted Cliff Rd so avoiding struggling up the slippery ski slope from Blackcomb base. The views from the lounge onto the mountains were also stunning. I really can't say that I would have wanted anything more. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.View Full Review

We really enjoyed our stay. The townhouse was well stocked with basic kitchen and clothes washing supplies. It was clean, well kept and homey. We were happy to find that a baby gate, pack'n play and high chair were included, making it much easier to care for our toddler. Both of our kids loved the stuffed bears and toys.View Full Review

We stayed at Mountainstar for 16 nights. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the location is excellent, with a bus stop at the bottom of the drive way that will take you to the village and the slopes just steps away. The home was filled with everything you could imagine from kitchen/cooking utensils to Dvd's, and activities for the kids.

We loved it. The apartment was clean and extremely well stocked with all the essentials of a home. We discovered how easy it was to use the outdoor grill. There were also an electric knife (!!), an electric wok and a big rice cooker. It made cooking dinner really efficient and easy. The dishwasher was a dream too. We also loved the way the chalet has been furnished, with lots of paintings of skiing, reminding us of our days on the slopes. I especially loved the drawing of the crystal hut in the downstairs bathroom because we finally discovered the belgium waffles on the slopes. Sadly made it there only once. To people reading this, go early otherwise the crystal hut becomes unbearably crowded. The kids also really really liked the hot tub. They would get out of their ski clothes quickly to go sit in the tub and stare at the mountain tops in the distance if it was still light. I would rate this one of the best homes away from home that we have stayed in, Thank you Holly and the Cherrys for helping us have a fantastic holiday. It was sooo great!!
