Suitability & Eligibility Policies
This unit is ideally and comfortably equipped for up to four adults and one dog - subject to prior approval. If you intend to bring your pet, please call or email before booking. Please read my pet policy.
It is an upper floor unit, therefore is not suitable for people with restricted mobilty.

|Pets||One dog only - subject to prior approval. Prior approval is mandatory. Failure to obtain approval prior to booking may result in cancellation of your booking without a refund. A refundable pet deposit of $100 per stay is applicable. The pet deposit will be refunded if there is no pet damage, stains or pet hair in the condo. Pets are not allowed on the beds under any circumstance. Spot cleaner and a vacuum cleaner are in the unit to assist you in keeping the unit pet hair and stain free. Dogs that behave aggressively are not permitted due to insurance/liability issues. Puppies under one year of age are strictly prohibited. Your dog must not be left 'free' in the condo when you are not there. A kennel is provided for that purpose. If you don't feel comfortably using the kennel, please take your dog with you when you leave the condo or arrange to have someone remain in the condo to keep the dog company.|

Reservation & Cancellation Policies
|Cancellations Made by Guests||Deposits are non-refundable. Payments, less a processing fee, may be refunded if a replacement booking is found.|

|Delayed Arrivals||We are not responsible for delayed arrivals. No refunds will be given.|

|Guest Account Termination||The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site|
|Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal||The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. |Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||If the cleaners require more than the normal time allotted for a 'clean', the additional costs will be passed on to the guest.|
|Excessive Noise||May result in eviction without refund. Please respect your neighbor's right to peace and quiet.|
|Forgotten Items by Guest||Items left behind by a guest will be returned to the guest at their cost, if requested.|
|Garbage Removal||Garbage can be dropped off free of charge at the transfer station on Industrial Drive, at the entrance to Sun Peaks. Hours of operation are posted in the condo. If you need garbage removed during your stay, it can be arranged for a fee. Contact the owner - telephone and email contact information are posted in the condo.|
|Housekeeping||Housekeeping will clean unit upon departure. Daily checks will be done for hot tub sanitization and water balancing. If cleaning is required during your stay, it can be arranged for a fee. If the unit is left excessively dirty, a deduction may be made from your damage deposit refund to compensate the cleaners for the extra time spent cleaning.|
|Internet Availability & Usage||High speed wireless internet available in unit.|
|Liability||Guest responsibility. Owner will not be held responsible for any accident or injury while on the premises. Guests are responsible for notifying the owner of any damage noted upon arrival or during their stay.|
|Locking Door||Coded access. Changed after each departure.|
|Maintenance Emergencies||24 hour, by cell phone. Number will be provided with check-in package.|
|Maximum Sleeping Capacity||4 people in two beds. By prior arrangement, an additional guest may be accommodated on an airbed. Absolutely no more than 5 guests.|

|Noise Restrictions||Quiet times are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please respect your neighbor's right to peace and quiet. If you use the hot tub during these hours, do so quietly.|
|Parking & Ticketing||Underground Secured. One reserved space, guest parking is available, but is limited.|
|Property Damage||A $500 damage deposit is required with rental deposit. The damage deposit will be refunded within 4 days of guest's departure, subject to deductions for damage, missing items, extra cleaning, etc.|
|Rental Accommodation Zoning||Condo is zoned for nightly rentals.|
|Resort Information||Provided on arrival. Information provided in unit.|
|Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage||Private, locking storage. Please use the storage locker provided. Damage to unit as a result of bringing sports equipment into the condo will be charged back to the renter.|
|Terms of Eviction||Failure to comply with policies will result in immediate eviction. No Refund - period!|

We purchased our Stones Throw unit in 2007 with the intention of using it ourselves during non-peak times, and making it available to consciencious guests during peak periods. We enjoyed being in Sun Peaks so much that we sold our home on the lower mainland and decided to make Sun Peaks our permanent home. We purchased a unit in Bridgegate which is where we currently live. We are just around the corner from Stones Throw and are able to provide a quick response to our guests in the event of a concern.
We sincerely want to help you enjoy your vacation to the maximum by providing a high-end, clean, comfortable and well-equipped unit for your enjoyment. All we ask in return is for you to treat our condo with care and respect.
First Class Retreat

Bev was very attentive in ensuring we had all the information we needed prior to our arrival and she checked in with us several times via email to answer questions and to make sure we had received the checkin/information package. The pictures of the condo are accurate and its even nicer once you step in the door. Everything was meticulously maintained and lots of little thoughtful touches such as movies, magazines, games, extra blankets and pillows which made it very cozy. Loved the hot tub and a beautiful view of the mountain from the deck. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need and even had flour, spices, sugar etc. which was most appreciated! We will definitely be back and rent this unit again it was lovely.

We are a family of 4 and stayed very comfortably at 'Alpine Retreat'. We could have brought Grandma & the dog and still would have had lots of space. The kitchen was well equipped, finishes in all rooms were top of the line, clean, well maintained, with owners who care! This place had everything we needed and lots more. Beautiful sunshine all day, crisp cold nights, luxurious soaks in the hot tub with amazing view. What more can you ask for? Stairs up from included parking and up to front door are a little steep, may be tough for very elderly or disabled folks, but no problem for us with our little ones. Stairs are a given in this kind of condo, but just a heads up! Remember to pack food or stop & shop in Kamloops. The bluebird market is fairly well stocked, but it would probably be cheaper to eat out, than to stock up there. The restaurants that we tried were good, no complaints. The kids centre for daycare & lessons was great. Staff was wonderful. The kids loved it and I had no concerns leaving them there. The mountain is incredibly family friendly. Everyone caters to the kids and made us feel very welcome!

Everything about our stay at Bev's Stones Throw condo was wonderful..from the well supplied kitchen, to the luxurious bed and linens, heated tile floors in bathrooms, well maintained hot tub and cozy living and dining room with gas stone fireplace. The access to skiing was great. The underground parking was convenient with lots of room for visitors too. When we saw the welcoming dog dishes and dog treats, we knew we had picked the right place! We will definitely recommend to friends and plan to return ourselves.

Wonderful unit, that was dog friendly which was fabulous. Thanks again for providing the dog crate which was perfect, and the ski locker was fantastic as well. Wonderfully set up kitchen, and well stocked which was nice and the hot tub was fantastic as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time. The house was very well equipped, including details as groceries items that you sometimes dont carry with you, like salt, spices, veg and olive oil. Only for suggestions: The yellow dishware gets too hot when you put it in the microwave. Hotter than the food or drink you are suppose to be heating. The ski locker been upstair is hard to access. The way to main ski gondolas is not easy through the village.

Your property is beautiful and well equipped. We didn't find anything lacking. We elected to have Thumper, our golden doodle, spent his time in the back seats of our car while we ski and he seemed very content to have a nap there for the morning as such we never took advantage of the portable kennel you provided in your unit. He would have been fine but was never left in the unit alone. We have another family visited us for dinner couple of nights and your well equipped kitchen handled it well. We found a few of the dishes had some blemishes from heavy use when we arrived but that was to be expected. The hot tub maintenance crew did a great job. I liked how they shoveled off the snow for us every morning. There are ample supplies for everything - kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, pet, the water cooler was a winner, and the power outage provisions which luckily we didn't have to utilize. You did a great job! Your timely responses to our inquiries during our stay were outstanding and made us feel right at home. We even took advantage of your movie library some. Meet The Parents was hilarious. the location of the unit was great. Easy access to and from the chair and runs. The ski locker was super handy.

This is our third time spending a ski week at Sun Peaks resort - and it was definitely our favorite one, thanks to the extremely comfortable, beautiful, and well appointed condo at Stone's Throw. We come to Sun Peaks for the fantastic skiing, but also because it is such a very welcoming place for our dog - an extremely important part of our family. Sun Peaks is an easy drive from Seattle, and it is wonderful to be able to find places that are so welcoming to pets. Every place we have stayed has been comfortable, but the Stone's Throw condo was definitely a step up. We loved that you had some throws to put on the furniture (we had brought our own as well), and the jar of treats was very popular. This is a great location, albeit a bit of a walk to the village - which was fine for our "baby" after we were out skiing most of the day. It also was fine for ski-out and ski-in. One thing to recognize is that it requires a morning ski up at Morissey - not a bad thing, really - it is great skiing, especially early in the morning. But it did require a trek to the "sunny" side before lunch, which we liked to do at the condo. Afternoons at the sunny side were no brainers. And at the end of the day? A nice hot tub, lovely kitchen, and cozy condo made hanging out with the critter in the evening a welcome time. We are even thinking about buying a place in this complex some day.Thanks again for such a nice vacation!
