Welcome to the Allura web page for our fully equipped luxury SKI-IN two-bed condo with  LUXURY SUNDANCE SPA/HOT TUB, situated at beautiful Fernie Alpine Resort, BC. We have been enjoying Fernie for many years, and lately have been visiting with our young family. Unfortunately we can't be there all the time (one day!), so for much of the year our place is available for rent to other families and small groups alike.  Two bedrooms off main entrance hall, one with ensuite. Then there's a large drying room on left and a main bathroom on the right. Condo then open s out into kitchen on left with open plan dining area and large open plan lounge. French doors open off ding room onto private deck.

 We are located in the attractive chalet-style Stone Creek complex (unit 31) at the end of Boomerang Way at stunning Fernie Alpine Resort, 5km from the city of Fernie. A few minutes walk from the chair, you can ski right to the front door.

 Policies

 This is our second family home and is ideally suited to families and small groups, who we hope will really enjoy and respect our condo in the same way as we do!

  • Bookings can be made via credit card through Allura or direct with owner via cheque (preferred). Min 25% deposit required at time of booking. Payment required in full prior 45 days prior to arrival (unless a late booking in which case payment required in full at time of booking). 
  • Check in is after 4pm on day or arrival, check out is 10am on day of departure.
  • Guests should not remove key from key-box.
  • Strictly no pets or smoking.
  • Stone Creek is a lovely quiet complex, noise (especially on deck) should be kept to a minimum after 8pm.
  • Guest numbers should be made implicitly clear at time of booking - no undeclared guests allowed.
  • The unit should be left in a tidy condition, with all dishes/ cutlery left clean prior to departure.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Housekeeping Not Included for longer stays cleans can be booked for additional costs TBA with owner
Ineligible Guests & Refusal of Business: 48-Hour Reservation Cancellation The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses

Frequently Asked Questions

The hill

What's the hill like? Awesome! There are 2 sides - an old side and a new side. Both offer great alpine bowl skiing, exhilarating steeps and trees. There's e guiding offered every day from local volunteers.

Kids

What's Fernie like for kids? We have two young kids - the condo is very child-friendly, and day care and ski school are great - really professional - we've always felt very happy using the day care/ ski school and the kids have always been really into it.

Eating out

What the options for eating out? There are several places to eat out the hill, and lots more places in town. Our favourite on the hill when we're with the kids is Kelseys, and in town we like Rip 'n Richards - the gys there are great with kids. For adult only evening dining we love the Japanese place on the highway and also the Curry Bowl is a firm favourite.

Night life

What's the night life/ Apres ski like at Fernie? Fernie town has a good selection of pubs and bars. It's not as bust as Whistler or Bamff for folks that like a busy party vibe, but still has some lively spots for enjoying a few beers - we recomend the Pub at Park Place lodge and the Central Hotel. The Royal gets pretty lively if you fancy partying hard with the locals!

 About Us

 We are a family of 5, living in Cheltenham, UK. Barney lived in Canada for a bit during his early 20's and discovered Fernie back then when only the 'Old Side' was open and the hill was still known as Fernie Snow Valley. We've had the condo since 2003, and try and get out for 2 precious weeks a year. Maybe one day we'll move... We also have some snow obsessive close friends and family who spend a lot of time in BC (and tend to make us very jealous when we're not there!!)

We love Fernie because it's quiet, unpretentious, has a great set up for kids, the people are great and, terrain wise, it gives Jane ample scope to move through the intermediate gears, while Barney gets to go to silly places that are pushing on his riding 13 years on.
