Our unit is a one bedroom and den of 850 sq. ft. You enter into the boot-room, containing ski rack, bench, separate heater, mirror and closet. The bootroom is separated from the kitchen with glassed french door. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and den are a vaulted and open concept. The living room has a fireplace, 37" LCD TV, DVD, Sound System, and contains large windows/sliding doors onto balcony overlooking Blackcomb mountain and large trees. The dining area seats 6 persons. There is an open den off the living room with a quality wallbed. Living room contains additional queen sofa bed. A 2-piece powder room (sink/toilet) is located just off the living room. The lofted master bedroom has a queen bed. A 3-piece bathroom with jetted (jacuzzi) tub and shower are adjacent to master bedroom.

THE GABLES LOCATION IS SECOND TO NONE!! Situated alongside Fitzsimmons Creek and Park, between the main Village and the Upper Village, it is a short walk to all skiing, restaurants and shops. Very central but yet in a serene treed area without the evening noise from the village hustle and bustle (i.e. village properties can be quite noisy even into the late evening from the many young partiers)

|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs stemming from extraordinary cleaning above the standard typical Guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.|
|Excessive Noise||The Gables has noise restrictions after 11pm. Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, guest is responsible for $200 security call-out fee. After one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.|
|Garbage Removal||Guests are required to remove garbage to facility located by outside parking lot.|
|Housekeeping||Complimentary. Before arrival and after departure.|
|Liability||We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property. Please note that occasionally some food items (i.e. extra sugar, coffee, condiments, etc) may be left in the unit by previous guests and are not removed by housekeeping staff since most guests appreciate such items. Be aware that any such food items that are consumed are done so at the Guest's own risk.|
|Maintenance Emergencies||24 hour telephone number. Emergency contact numbers are posted within unit|
|Maximum Sleeping Capacity||4 Persons. Exceptions may be possible upon prior contact. Agreed capacity is strictly enforced. Parties of more than the agreed capacity will be subject to eviction|
|Parking & Ticketing||Two available parking stalls are provided at no extra charge, one designated stall in underground garage, and one outside stall using the provided display pass. Display pass must be visible in vehicle parked in the outside lot, or vehicle is subject to being towed at Guest's expense. The Outside Parking Display Pass and the Underground Garage Access Key are located within the bootroom of the unit. THE GUEST WILL BE CHARGED $100 IF EITHER THE DISPLAY PASS OR THE GARAGE KEY ARE MISSING FROM THE UNIT AFTER THE GUEST'S DEPARTUE.|
|Property Damage||Guest will be responsible for any damage incurred during their stay, even if damage is caused by others being hosted by guest. No damage deposit taken at time of booking but a charge to guest's credit card on file will be made to cover damage to premises or if additional cleaning is required after departure. Owner will endeavor to discuss damage charge with guest prior to any charges being made. Any damage charges must be reasonable.|
|Rental Accommodation Zoning||Property is zoned for nightly rentals.|
|Terms of Eviction||Security company will evict all on premises if occupancy exceeds 6 people, excessive noise, common and private property damage, and/or disturbing the peace|
We live on the north shore of Vancouver and have owned this Gables townhome since it was newly built. We have enjoyed using it ourselves and we are proud to also make it available to guests that are visiting Whistler. We are just back from 10 days at this lovely condo in Whistler. We've been to Whistler 7 times from the UK and this is by far the best self-catering accommodation we've had so far. Firstly the Condo is exactly as described (better in fact). It has everything you could possibly need (including the umbrella which was much appreciated !) and is really well decorated with lovely finishing touches like pictures and ornaments. The fixtures and fittings are great and it was very clean. It worked really well for us as a couple being 1 bed upstairs with it's own bathroom. It also had a lovely balcony and probably only thing you could say was that there wasn't a view of the mountains. But the real upside of the location was being only a 5/10 minute walk either to Whistler base or Blackcomb base. No need for cars or buses. Just perfect. We would definitely love to come back and stay again.

I've been to Whistler many times and stayed at the Gables many times. This was one of the nicest units I've stayed in, clean, updated, and maintained very well. As always to me there is not a better location then the Gables because it's just outside the village which can get noisy at nighttime but still within a 2 minute walk. Our kids were at the Kids Camp at Blackcomb base and lugging all of their stuff and ours was bearable since it only took 2 minutes to walk there. Highly recommend staying here.

Walking distance to gondola at Blackcomb and all the restaurants and shops. Spacious enough for our family of 4. Great if you're not going to be in the room for very long -- it's kind of dark and the upstairs bedroom is really small. Biggest negative was the bedding. My son was really disturbed by all the holes in the sheets on the fold-out sofa bed -- and it wasn't very comfortable for him. I noticed holes in the bedding upstairs as well...Other than that, it was fine.

My girlfriend and I stayed at 41 The Gables for 10 days in Feb/March 2013 and were delighted to find it was every bit as good as we had imagined. Having the space of a full apartment beats a hotel room every time for me and David & Lynn have backed this up by making the place very comfortable as well. The location must be one of the best in Whistler. It is tucked away by Fitzsimmons Creek, just off the pathway that links Blackcomb ("Upper Village") with Whistler Village, so both mountains are easily accessible, and the village is a pleasant 5 mins stroll away. Although we ate out most evenings, having a good kitchen was invaluable for breakfasts and the few dinners we cooked. [Top Tip: Buying bottles of wine/spirits in Whistler is expensive enough to turn you to drink - stock up before you arrive!] And when we asked if we could store the bags past the checkout time, Lynn was only too happy to give us the extra 3 hours we needed. All round we were delighted with the experience.

Lynn and David were great hosts and always ready to help if I had any questions via email. Check in was a breeze as all we needed was a code for the door which Lynn sent to me via email before we arrived. Having a code on the door was great as we easily remembered it and we didn't need to worry about having a key with us. The condo is well set up for outdoor activities as it has a boot room when you first come in where you can leave your gear from the day. We really appreciated this as it meant that you weren't living with all of your boarding gear scattered around. The room was also nice and warm so all of our gear dried every night, even if we washed something and then hung it out. The kitchen in the condo is well stocked with a large oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a great selection of pots, bowls, crockery, glasses etc. The location is very central. The condo is just off the path that links the upper village with the main whistler village. Its closest to Blackcomb base (only about 5 minutes walk from the condo) but whistler base is also very close! We often uploaded at Blackcomb for convenience but we also did lessons on whistler mountain and on those days it didn't take long at all to walk to the Fitzsimmons chair and the gondolas. If we wanted to eat out in the evening then it wasn't a trek to do so. The condo was very comfortable and a lovely place to chill out in after being on the snow. We stayed for 4 weeks in total and it really felt like a home from home. We loved being able to come home, put all our gear in the boot room, cook dinner and just generally relax.

we found the location ideal as you are inbetween the two villages and are able to walk very easily to both spots.as we stayed at christmas the setting with the snow on the trees and buildings was magical.the check in was easy and if arriving by bus they drop you off at the unit,bring a torch if you arrive at night and you will also need one when coming back from the village at night.the standard heating was more than adequate and we did not need the fire to heat the unit.the unit is well maintained and outfitted and the information supplied by the owners means a hassle free stay.having the boot room means you can get out of wet gear before entering the unit.

We had a wonderful 6 days at Whistler. We arrived in torrential rainfall with not one jacket between us but we layered up and enjoyed some outdoor evening concerts. The weather for the remainder of our visit was great. The family wedding was an amazing event and the setting on Green Lake was spectacular. Highlights besides the wedding were hiking to Blackcomb Lake, the Peak to Peak gondola and chairlift to the peak. We also enjoyed walking and cycling the trails. Now we know why everyone raves about going to Whistler. So much to see and do. The unit was very comfortable and the location was ideal. Maybe now we too will become regular visitors to this very special place. Looking forward to returning to Whistler again soon.

Loved staying in the cute condo at the Gables. The condo is clean, well appointed, and has just about all the cooking implements you'd want for a vacation rental...even spices! The location is great...less than a 10 minute walk from whistler village and the gondolas up the mountain. It's away from the main village, so it's very quiet. Two small missing things: no sponges, no cheese grater. Other than that, everything is there. Also, it's small. Was perfect for two. I could even see it working with 3 and 4 with the fold out bed in the living room. But, the ad says it sleeps 6 and that would be very tight and uncomfortable space wise.

My wife and I really enjoyed our week-long stay at The Gables. It's located right across the street from the Blackcomb base and a 10 min walk to the Whistler base. It's a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath, loft with a murphy-bed in the "office" area. Also a pull-out couch. It would work well for a family traveling together. It was just my wife and I so the extra space was terrific - early morning reading and coffee without disturbing the spouse!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gables. The home was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The beds were cozy & it was very quiet. Appreciated having in suite laundry facilities. The location was fantastic! A 5 minute walk to the lift - can't beat that! Also very close to the Village ~ we enjoyed walking to the Village in the evening. Would definitely return to the Gables.

This condo met all my needs. It was a 5 minute walk to the lifts at either Blackcomb or Whistler. The main bedroom had a firm, comfortable bed and enough storage space for my 8 day trip. The full bath was slightly larger than my bathroom at home. Having underground parking saved having to brush off the car when it snowed (almost every day, thank goodness). There was plenty of comfy living space downstairs. The kitchen had just about everything (pots, pans, glasses, plates, etc.), but I like to cook dinners. So, if you're the same way, I would recommend bringing your own sharp utility knives. I had such a wonderful stay, I really felt a pang of sadness when I had to close the front door for the last time. Thank you for letting me stay in your wonderful condo! If I come back to Whistler, I will most cetainly try to book this condo again!

We truly enjoyed our stay despite the mix-up with the code entry! Our only problem was the tiny blow dryer that kept kicking out -made it hard for 3 girls with long hair to blow dry their hair! Other than that, everything was supplied, ample towels, amazing bedding, dishes, clean and tidy, funs games, Dvd's and even a fire logs for have a cozy fire!

From the moment we saw this condo online to now having stayed there we were not disappointed. The owners provided prompt and excellent service and even went out of their way to help us rent a cot and high chair for our child. The condo has a great layout with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is an open kitchen, dining and lounge room with high roof to give the feel of more space. Off the lounge is a small den that has a fold down queen bed. There is also a 2nd toilet downstairs and there is also a boot/dryer room at the entrance which is perfect to store your skis and snow gear. The condo is small but the layout is practical that you could have 4 people staying and not feel too crowded. The only downside is the kitchen is small and doesn't have a lot of storage. There is also a washer, dryer and dishwasher - all which are essential. The Gables are located in the perfect position. Its a 3min walk to the Wizard Chair, 5 min walk to the Whistler & Blackcomb Gondolas and less than 10min walk to the centre of town. Night time is super quiet - perfect for sleeping but if you want to rage its only a 10 min walk away. This a great place and you will not be disappointed if you stayed here. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at David and Lynn's for 3 nights over the Christmas Holiday season. The location is perfect for quickly accessing the ski lift and walking to shops and restaurants. Their condo is nicely decorated and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We had a wonderful time and would definately stay here again.

The apartment was very nice. I was visiting my grand children and I only was in the apartment at night. The main problem was that when there was a snow fall I had to wait until noon for the plow and sanding truck to get up the hill to the street. Even the garbage truck was stuck and couldn't get out. apart for that I had a good stay and I might call you next year at the time for my grand daughter's birtday Lorenzo

Great accomodations. One thing Lynn may need to have the caretaker watch...lint trap in dryer was packed full. I made sure I cleaned it after every load. Everything we needed was provided. Info on restaurants was very helpful. Would recommend these accomodations to anyone visiting the area.

I would love to live there forever! I will book a two week vacation in the same unit next year. Perfect for two adults with lots of stuff, including two downhill bikes. Could have accommodated more people than us so we had lots of room.

The unit was comfortable and clean and very close to the village. Would have liked to have check out time moved to a bit later as 10 am is a bit too early for us. We've stayed at many other units in Sun Peaks and their check out time was 11. Overall a nice and comfortable unit.

The Gables is a two storey walk-up condominium complex and is perfectly located for exploring Whistler and for accessing the gondalas for Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. It's an easy 10 minute walk in your ski boots to the base area from the condo. The Gables is nestled in cedar trees beside a stream, so you feel like you're away from it all even though the bustle of Whistler Village is a just a short stroll away. Unit 41 itself is perfect for a ski holiday. The boot room means there is no hassle with storing your equipment at the end of your ski day, and the unit has everything you need to cook meals. The unit is clean and well-appointed, very comfortable for my wife and myself. The fold-down Murphy bed offers comfortable sleeping accomodation for another two. The owners were very pleasant to deal with, no problems whatsoever. The unit is accessed with an entry code, so there is no check-in desk to deal with. The unit has two parking spots available, one in front of the unit and one underground. If parking outside, be sure to have your parking pass displayed at all times! Tow truck operators in Whistler take their job very seriously and will tow your car without hestition.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The keypad check in was a bit hairy. I had the wrong code and it was late and I was tired. Wasn't sure what to do if I had an issue. I do plan on staying at this location next year if available.

Unit was well appointed, with updated furniture and fixtues. Dishwasher did not clean well and dishes in cupboard were found dirty. (likely unloaded and not inspected) Unit was dusty and ceiling fan was very dirty (generated alot of dust when turned on.) Unit could use deep cleaning and housekeeping should do dusting.

Your condo was perfect for us. Secluded and yet close to all the activities of the Village. A nice place to come back to after a day of skiing, a night in the village, and even to have friends over to for a drink. We hope it's available for our next trip to Whistler.

Great location right by the Blackcomb lodge and just a few minutes walk to Whistler Village. The place was clean and tidy and slept 4, 2 in the upstairs loft and a 2 downstairs in a murphy bed. Would have loved to have a TV in the loft area and the upstairs does get quite warm at night.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gables. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable, with a lovely deep couch, a large dining table and a very well stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable (though the upstairs loft can get pretty toasty if the heating is on), and all was incredibly clean on our arrival. It is very handy having parking both underground and out in the carpark. The location is quiet and peaceful. It's quite easy to walk to either Whistler village or up to Blackcomb, though it is not in the centre of the action so don't expect to just be able to duck out and grab some milk. The only minor change that would've made it a five star stay for us was a greater supply of those essentials that you don't realise you need until you're all out (eg. sugar, toilet paper!). Thanks for a lovely stay.

we've rented at whistler for the last 5 years during the summer, and keep coming back to the Gables. Love the location and perfect to get the the mountain. If you don't mind walking stairs, this condo is an outstanding bargain because of the spare murphy bed and the condo is updated nicely., (both to get to condo and the master bdrn is upstairs) Overall a lovely stay.

As long as you don't mind taking out your own garbage, this property is cozy, easily sleeps 4 (though the Murphy bed is too soft for my back), and located right inbetween the Blackcomb and Whistler lifts. Secluded from the noise of the village, yet very cental for walking to the village.

The Gables Unit 41: Good location and great for family of 4. Very nice and comfortable. All appliances were in working order. There are 2 beds and one sofa. Walking distance to Village and gondolas. Underground parking ramp is very steep so on snowny days it is a challenge to get in/out. There was no physical check in/out so you save lot of time. There were not any bath soaps when we got in so we had to go buy some, and there were only 3 fire logs for our 7 night stay! The price was high but we went during the peak holiday season. Overall we loved it and will go there again.

This was a great location, close to both mountains. It was quiet and a serene setting to spend Thanksgiving. The boys were very excited to have two beds, one in the murphy bed and one on the couch. The kitchen was well equipped. My only negative is the stairs, one flight up to main floor and another to the bedroom, but that is only because I was nursing a very sore knee. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!

We were attending a conference at the Chateau Whistler for people with disabiltites. The condo was perfect for us. Close to the conference but also close to the village. We loved the fire place. Everything worked as it should internet phones, television etc. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. The out side deck was great! Thansk you for allowing us to stay! Liza
