Glacier Lodge is located in the heart of Whistler's Upper Village. All you need is at your doorstep including the Blackcomb /Whistler Base & ski school, cafes, five star dining, ski shops and many activities. No need for shuttles or cars. Overall our stay here was hugely positive. The owner and concierge service are both very responsive and helpful. The only issue we had was that the beds were not arranged in the 4 singles configuration that was offered and requested. However as per above this was rectified the next day which was reasonable given our late hour of arrival.
Pros: 1) Location - 5mins from door of apartment to having your bum on the Wizard Express. Nice! 2) grocery store and liquor store right outside the building. 3) Jacuzzi and pool facilities. 4) Apartment facilities are good for cooking, showering/bath/washroom, entertainment - (TV, games - we learned cribbage because there was a board!). 5) The booking process was a breeze and the communications were excellent.
Points to note (not exactly cons): 1) the loft is open to the living area and cooking area and so anyone trying to sleep there if some people come back late is going to have difficulty - assign sleeping arrangements appropriately as main bedroom is a separate room. 2) It was so warm in the building (the external corridors) - too warm - uncomfortably warm. Given the unusual temp outside it made little sense. 3) The noise from the pool can be loud but is not a huge issue as the pool closes by 9 or 10 pm.
In summary I thought this was a great place to stay and I would not hesitate in recommending it or returning to this property if I get the chance to come back to Whistler.View Full Review Owner Has Responded

Nice appartment with all the neccessary equipments you need to keep your household during your stay. The apparment has a small but nice view to the lower slopes of Whistler Mountain. The outdoor yacuzzi and heated swimming pool was also very nice.

My husband, 10 year-old and I stayed in unit #3** at Glacier Lodge for a weekend recently. The condo was clean and comfortable. Some areas in the unit have been updated (IE: both bathrooms) whereas other areas have not (the kitchen, for example). Nonetheless, the condo had most everything we needed for our short stay. The small extras, such as free Wi-Fi and the complimentary on-site ski valet service were much appreciated. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs after skiing each day. The front desk staff were always helpful and friendly. The building is a 3 minute walk to the Wizard Express chairlift at the base of Blackcomb and a 7-10 minute walk to the village and Whistler gondola at the base of Whistler Mtn. Alternatively, the free bus service stops just across the street and takes a couple of minutes to get to the village. We would recommend this condo as it was comfortable and within walking distance to the slopes.View Full Review
