Property Description

This very large Penthouse is laid out over two levels, the loft being the upper from where you can look down over the bannisters onto the level below.  This is an extremely spacious 3,100 square foot condo with 2 private balconies facing towards the mountains enjoying the best elevated views from the building.  The lower level has huge open plan living, dining and kitchen areas.  The whole living space boasts high ceilings, huge windows giving much light and space and from the lounge area you can access both private decks.  Each of the 4 bedrooms on this lower level leads off the great room.  The Master bedroom and the Queen room have front facing views. Three of these lower level bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms and there is a full bathroom directly opposite the 4th bedroom.  The upper loft has a bathroom, 2 bunk bedrooms , wet bar, pool table, TV and seating.  There are 3 secure parking spots and 2 secure ski lockers.

Our home is fully equipped to enable you to have exactly the kind of holiday that you are looking for, whether you are a small or large party. There is great open living space for family gatherings and entertaining and areas for those who want to have peace and privacy. Private space for Kids - could be the Den with bunk beds to sleep 5, large screen plasma TV and games console. The separate loft area also has its own large screen TV and games console, pool table, wet bar for mixing drinks and comfortable seating.  Adults can enjoy 'time out' with a glass of wine on one of the two private decks, or in the steaming hot tub under the stars.  If you love cooking, a fully equipped Gourmet kitchen has all the appliances and crockery you'll need to make that memorable feast.  The breakfast bar with bar stools provides a perfect place for casual eating or sharing a drink with the chef!  There is plenty of comfy sofa seating surrounding the natural gas fireplace with wall mounted large screen plasma TV above.  There is also a DVD player and stereo and a small library of CDs, DVDs and books to enjoy. There are 5 bathrooms, 2 of which have steam showers for the en-suites. The entire condo has heated hard wood flooring throughout.  Three private & reserved car parking spots and ample Ski storages is available for your use.

Location

The Raven is a short walk to the Happy Valley Adventure area and Lodge. Happy Valley is a perfect location, offering many non-skiing activities including the huge outdoor Skating rink, the Mega Coaster Tube runs, Cross Country trails and much, much more.. The Raven is a short walk to the Gondola which will take you (in just 5 minutes) to the village where you'll find many restaurants, the kids centre and the ski/board school and grocery store.

Ski-in, Ski-out - There is direct Ski-in access to The Raven and Ski-out simply requires a short across the road, or walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage.  On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The Raven entrance and crossed over the road.

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will issue a refund by cheque. Please note that your booking is made directly with the property owner who is based in the UK. Any refund of any booking fee is subject to a 30% deduction, this is to cover both credit card processing and Canadian taxes which are deducted at the point of any booking payment being made.
Cancellations Made by Owners We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. All payments are non-refundable.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.

Maximum Sleeping Capacity 18 People. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction
Missing Items Guests authorise credit card charge for replacement of missing items. We will notify you in advance of any charges.
Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11.00pm to 7.00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice, however guest will be notified via e-mail of changes prior to their arrival.
Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incurred by tenants or guests & authorizes up to a $2,000.00 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment you agree to pay us for all damages that you incur. Excellent unit for large groups!

I have booked my company ski trip retreat at this location for three years and this unit has consistently been a huge success with our group. Vacation Services is very helpful, and everything is ready to go quickly through a few emails. The unit is very nice, with something for everyone including hot tubs, pool tables, video games, and large TV's.

Wonderful place to relax while staying at Big Whit

There were 6 adults, 2 teens and 2 children celebrating an early Christmas. There was enough space that you didn't feel like you were all over each other. It was fantastic that three of the four bedrooms on the main floor had their own ensuite and one had its bathroom across the hall. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies to make it easy to not miss any utensil from home. Although it is a ski-in complex, you do have to walk a bit to the Happy Valley lodge. Yet, this was a minor detail and would recommend driving to the parking lot with your ski gear instead of walking.

We were the first guests of the season, so we had a few hiccups with leaks and such but they were QUICKLY addressed and didn't ruin anyone's fun. The one comment that was made as a negative would be that it would be nice to have more towels available for both bathing and dishes. Otherwise, it was well appointed.

Our group of thirteen ranged in ages from 18 months to 71 years. We found the penthouse to be very well equipped spotlessly clean, and oh so comfortable. Any issues that we had were addressed immediately by management and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Great Ski Vacation

A group of three families made our annual pilgrimage to Big White Ski Resort for President's Day weekend and we had a great experience at The Raven Penthouse 1542. The layout of the condo was fantastic and easily accommodated the six (6) adults and six (6) children. Three of the master bedrooms included en-suite bathrooms with steam showers and were extremely convenient and comfortable. The bunk rooms for the kids were located in the loft area and they were very comfortable. The kitchen and the included appliances, flatware, etc. were in great shape and made cooking and dining enjoyable. The furniture in the living area was extremely comfortable and contributed to relaxing meals and conversation before and after a long day of skiing. The location was excellent from a ski-in perspective, but not quite as good from a ski-out perspective. That being said, all you had to do to ski-out was walk about 100 yards with your ski equipment before skiing down to the gondola next to the Happy Valley Day Lodge and then take it up to the village to then ski to your desired lifts. I would definitely recommend this condo to anybody looking for a large and well appointed place to stay at Big White.

We were a group of 18 (made up of 4 families) and the Raven housed us perfectly. A great size - great facilities for each of the adults and great space for the kids. The kitchen was lovely and easy for a large group to move around. We would not hesitate to come back again and stay at The Raven again - we almost feel like it is "our home" at Big White.
