Property Description

Our home has a fabulous open layout with oodles of room for entertaining and a private master suite and a deck with a mountain view. You are greeted by the open kitchen with granite counters on your left when you enter. The dining table is next to the kitchen so that you can sit and chat with your quests as you make dinner. The living room is open, bright and sunny with a cozy fireplace with tumbled marble facing. The window seat is great for those times when you want to curl up and read a good book, and also provides a sleeping spot for a fifth guest. The living room has a hutch with the TV and  DVD, as well as a good selection of movies for your viewing pleasure. The private patio off the master bedroom provides a great mountain view and is the reason that we chose this home. Its a great place to enjoy a nice glass of wine and drink in the view. There is a make-up area with a sink off the bedroom. The bathroom also has a seperate entrance off the living area. There is a closet for all of your coats and extras in the living area. We hope you enjoy your stay!

We use our home as our home away from home when we don't have guests. We have tried to make it enjoyable and a memorable experience for you. We have it well equipped so that we and our guests can enjoy the many comforts of home. Pleas let us know it there is anything not on this list that you may need and we will do our best to get it there for you before you arrive. Enjoy our gas fireplace, mountain views, ski lockers, and secured underground parking. Don't miss your chance to soak your aches and pains in the resort's indoor hottub with windows to the sky. Enjoy the year round heated pool, dry heat sauna. We are a 8 minute walk to village shops and restaurants or you can catch the shuttle out front if you don't feel like walking. Our building is very conveniently located within walking distance of the Village and the Village North.  There is a free shuttle bus that stops just outside the front entrance.  Within the building our home is conveniently located away from the elevator and has a nice mountain view, the reason that we chose it.  Great for having a glass of wine on the patio and enjoying the view.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payment is non-refundable. Balance payment is refundable if cancelled within 46 days or greater of booking. If cancelled within 14 - 46 days, the balance payment is refundable providing we are able to replace the booking at the same or greater rate. Within 14 days, no refund. All refunds will be less 4% credit card processing fee Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Delayed Arrivals Please contact us should you be delayed as the front doors are locked at 9 pm. There will be an extra charge for arrivals after 9 pm.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses

Guest Stay Policies

Bike Storage Absolutely NO bikes in the home. IIMMEDIATE eviction if this is violated. Covered and secured storage area. We assume NO liability or responsibility for any of the items placed in the bike storage area.
Check-In Time 4:00 pm.
Check-Out Time 10:00 am, NO EXCEPTIONS! Any extra charges incurred because of late check out will be billed directly to the credit card of the guest at TWICE the cost of the charge.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Billed to guests at cost plus $100.
Excessive Noise Guests will be billed $500 per loud noise incident. This will be billed directly to the credit card of the guest.
Housekeeping After 7 days, if the stay is for more than 12 nights. Mid clean stays are NOT to be changed by the guest. In the event the guest requests additional cleaning services, they must be paid in CASH at the time of the cleaning DIRECTLY to the cleaners. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Internet Availability & Usage Wi-Fi available. Network is: dLink There is no password required
Liability We assume NO liability for the actions of our guests.
Locking Door Suite door automatically locks. Please have door code or key with you.

We love our Whistler home and are proud to share it with you! We have watched Whister/Blackcomb evolve since our first visit in 1983 from a sleepy hollow into a world class resort. We live 2 hours away and love to come even if just for the day. One of my best things to do is have a nice glass of red wine on our deck enjoying the view. Next best is a sunny afternoon with a burger and a brew outside on the deck at the Brewhouse! We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we love it here!

The location and layout of the unit are great! Unfortunately we were given incorrect check in information & it took close to 24 hours to get the proper garage code. The description of the unit does need to be corrected...there is only 1 very small tv, no kitchen pots to speak of & the bathroom could use a little TLC.

We stayed at this property for almost 2 months in 2017. Some things were great, some things not so great, so it really was a mixed experience. I'll try to get into this as objectively as possible:

The Good Stuff: LOCATION: The location is fantastic. The Marquise is located in the Upper Village across the road from the Aspen, which backs out onto the entry-runs of Blackcomb. While not a true ski-in/ski-out as far as i'm concerned (there's a road between you and the couple of trails you can take to the slopes), it's close enough in that sense. There's a lot of debate and opinion on whether it's better to stay in the Main Village or the Upper Village; personally, we liked the upper village because it was more chilled out and less party-party than the main village. In exchange, there are less shops/restaurants in the upper village, and it was an extra hassle to pop out to, say, the Marketplace. FACILITIES: An indoor hot tub, a heated outdoor pool, and a fitness centre. All well maintained. The only complaint would be that they are only available during certain times, which didn't make any sense to us - particularly the fitness centre not opening until 10am.

The Not-So-Good Stuff: OWNER RESPONSE: Okay, i'm just going to put it this way. The main contact (Bob) was pretty much unresponsive. We gave up on him eventually. His partner, Susan, was far more responsive and I'd highly recommend you just direct any of your queries to her. AMENITIES/KITCHEN: Once long ago the kitchen was probably quite well stocked. Now the pots are missing, glasses are missing, knives are blunt, handles falling off. We ended up buying two pots from the main village to cook with which was pretty frustrating. There are labels and an inventory in the kitchen which doesn't really match any of the stock, just to remind you of what could have been. CLEANLINESS: Overall pretty good. Cleaners visit weekly - to replace towels, vacuum etc. The cleaners were cool enough but fairly inconsistent ie sometimes we'd receive 6 towels, sometimes 3, sometimes the bathmat would disappear and then reappear the next week. They took our washing sponge one week. Random. There was also this really strange chemical odour that we traced to under the kitchen sink and could never quite figure out and it just seemed to linger. After a while we just got used to it. INTERNET: So the internet is great when it actually works. When it was playing up (not every day) we would have to reboot the router several times that same day. Intermittent drop-outs for no apparent reason. BED: One of the oddest mattresses we've ever slept on. I would describe it as "convex" - such that my wife and i rolled to our respective edges. It was bearable but on the verge of uncomfortable. Also way too soft for our tastes, but we get that's a personal preference. CHECK-IN/DESCRIPTION: The check-in is all done via keypad now. There was some stale data going out (on their listing, and in some of the automated emails) about late check-ins and keys that is no longer applicable. It was pretty frustrating trying to validate the correct information before arrival.

One more thing: okay, so this clouded our experience and just soured things for us. While we were staying at the condo the owners put it on the market. We begrudgingly agreed to accept scheduled house-hunters in for a look around. There were some compromises from both sides on how to accommodate this. Eventually we started altering our schedule to avoid the visits. The fact of the matter is that this is not something we wanted to deal with on our holiday, and if we had known this was going to happen we simply wouldn't have booked the place. We had a shortlist of alternatives and I wish we had booked any of those instead.

Oh, and one other thing: Wow, this just sounds bitter now. So to access the ski lockers you need an access code. While we were staying there the access code was changed and we were locked out of our gear. By the time i heard from Susan (no response from Bob as usual), we'd had to forfeit a ski lesson that we'd already paid for.

So overall: the place is pretty decent. There were a couple of things I've covered above that affected our overall experience. I get that these are likely one-off events, but they still make me wish i'd booked elsewhere.

My mother stayed here for 5 nights for her first visit to Whistler and loved it! Comfortable and spacious apartment with all the amenities you could need for cooking and relaxing.

The location of the property was excellent, as the Valley trail starts just at the bottom of the street. My mum loved that it was out of the village a little (away from the noise) but was still only a 15 minute walk from the Village stroll.

All information was provided by the owners in a Welcome email. We were initially unable to log onto the Wifi but with a quick call to the owners had it all sorted in about 5 minutes. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The entrance code # were confusing, we received 3 different versions ,2 from Allura and 1 insuite. The listing mentioned a TV in the bedroom, there was a large mirror instead. Since we did not want to be responsible and charged for the missing item . we did send an email to Allura and also phoned an owner and expected an explanation . No response! Please add a reading lamp in the living room; only overhead lights are not sufficient. The oversized lounge chair is very awkward.

Accommodation for a wedding in Whistler

Pros: The condo itself was nice - it was roomy and had everything we needed, except an iron (which you wouldn't normally need in Whistler, but we did). The room was quiet. The host provided all necessary check-in information well in advance. While we didn't use the hot tub, it was a nice option to have.

What we didn't like: The location. It was a 20 minute walk to the village, which was the condo's biggest flaw. This was my mistake - I thought it looked closer on the map. In the summer it wouldn't be so bad because there are trails. This time of year the trails are covered in snow, of course. In the winter, unless you're skiing to the village, the trails aren't very user friendly. We drove almost everywhere. No free parking.

Overall, a good stay.

I stayed at this aparent for 1 week during the summer whilst at a Snowboard Camp on the Glacier. The location was perfect, just 10 mins walk from Blackcomb Base and the Wizard Chair. Arriving was straightforward switch no need to check in, I just had to follow the instruction emailed to me. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, fresh and up to date.

Second time we've stayed in this unit. It provides great value for a budget conscious families that wants all the whistler type amenities. Location is great (even in no snow conditions!). Can walk with skis and boots to the base of Blackcomb in about 10min. Walk to lower village in about 20min (with reg boots / shoes). Apartment is on the small side but functional. Could use some touch ups (ex. Walls are scuffed and carpet is stained is areas), and minor updating would be nice, but generally it's pretty good.

Building amenities are somewhat dated, but again pretty good. One notable drawback is as this is not a hotel, so the amount of towels you go through during a stay is considerable given the use of the pool over a number of days. So either come with poolside towels of your own, or be prepared to do laundry if your stay is more than a day or two. You should also account for parking ($16/24hrs). Not that bad, but didn't realize that. There is also free parking on street after April 1.

Overall, good place. Would definitely come back now that I've set expectation and can better plan for what we need. Thumbs up!

Three Week Stay

Overall, this place is a good size, in a very good location across the street from a ski in/out, and has a well equipped kitchen. However we found some issues during our stay that may or may not be of importance to others. 1) The gas fireplace did not work. 2) The landline phones did not work. 3) Internet connectivity and speed is fine but you have to unplug and reset router 1-2 times per day to restore service when it goes down. 4) The TV is a bit dated with standard def and the most basic cable package, 5) Cable and internet service was cut off during our stay by Shaw for half a day until the bill was paid (this happened at a bad time for us).

These are not major issues to us, but could be to prospective renters. We had emailed both owners with the issues during our stay, but received no response. I would recommend this unit if these issues were resolved, otherwise, at least you know about them.

Great little condo. Close enough to the lower village to walk in 10mins. Be sure you receive the email with the code to enter the parkade as there is no key entry anymore.
