50 North Star is a large, clean, comfortably decorated cozy townhome in an ideal peaceful complex. This sought after location is centrally located and close to any convenience you could need. Across the street is a supermarket, government liquor/beer/wine store, bank, video rental, drug store, and fast food. The mountain base, lifts, trails, restaurants, nightlife and entertainment are all a short walk away.

Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.

Excessive Noise Excessive noise and disturbing the peace is grounds for eviction.
Housekeeping Property is cleaned prior to arrival and after departure. Mid-stay cleaning (including linen change) for stays over 7 nights. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at guest's request and expense
Liability We are expressly excluded from liability. The owner is not responsible for any personal injury or property loss of a guest as a result of their stay

Will the unit be clean? We use professional cleaners. The unit is cleaned prior to each check-in. You will be provided with 24-hour contact information in case there are any problems or concerns. The unit has been recently painted and receives a deep clean each season.
Can I be sure the unit will be available when I arrive? Reservation prices and availability are guaranteed. Clicking the "Reserve Now for Instant Booking" button above initiates the reservation process. Your requested dates are booked exclusively to you. The system does not allow for double bookings.

We ran into an issue at check-in involving our suite not being cleaned, which was disappointing to find after a long day of travel. We contacted Len who answered his phone right away and coordinated a very late cleaning of our room. Len was very apologetic for the mix-up. We ended up staying the night on a spare couch at a friend's due to the late cleaning, but Len offered us some financial compensation due to the issue which was much appreciated. The rest of our stay was uneventful and we enjoyed staying at this complex. This condo is your standard whistler condo with nothing special that has seen a lot of wear and tear over the years, but the bed was really comfortable and we were surprised to find that this room did have wifi although the booking info said it did not. The location is great with a bus stop to the lifts just out front of the condo. The hot tub was a decent size and the pool was warmer than most pools in whistler, which made it great to enjoy along with the hot tub.

Cozy home, perfect for quick getaways

I stayed here with 3 other friends, and this home served us perfectly in our 3 day, 2 night getaway.

Instructions given to us were very clear, making check in and out an absolute breeze. Photos were very accurate, neither portraying the home in a better or worse condition than it really is. The home had a large bed in the bedroom, and an equally large sofa bed in the living room, comfortably accommodating the 4 of us. Amenities included heated pool and hot tub, providing a relaxing end to each of our days there. Surrounding areas were completely silent, and the IGA marketplace was a two minute walk away, making this the perfect location to stay. The walk to the main chairlifts was a bit of a walk at around 10 minutes.

All in all a fantastic place. We all felt very at home with no problems to report, and would definitely look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Could be great, but wasn't clean

Our stay at this unit had such potential; great location, terrific amenities in the development, easy check-in. We had stayed in other units in the area previously and had a great time. Communication ahead of our visit was clear and accurate.

Unfortunately our stay this at this unit was spoiled on our arrival by having to wash the sheets and clean debris from the furniture and floor when we arrived. Even the surface of the coffee table was sticky. To add to the disappointment we discovered some cables were missing from the DVD player so that while we could see the image there was no way to get sound. The whole unit felt like it was long overdue for a solid cleaning, let alone the basic professional cleaning we were expecting from the information we were provided.

So while Whistler is a fantastic place to visit and the Northstar development is very nice we will be avoiding this unit in the future.

Cozy Unit

This is a cozy little unit, however the artwork is a little creepy. We ended up taking the picture in the bedroom off the wall as it made us feel uneasy.

Note to the owner to speak with their cleaners and have them clean the bathroom as little better as well as the patio chairs had bird poop all over them. Pros were free parking and the close proximity to the village.

It was nice and cozy. There were a couple things:

-no wifi but cable TV saved the day
-kitchen counters didn't seem to be really clean (there were crumbs)
-2 paintings scared my kids and they aren't toddlers (bedroom and kitchen table).
-bathroom needs some renovating (silicon, etc).

This is a very cozy, nicely furnished condo. It is in a quiet location which is important because night-time noise can be a problem in Whistler. It is a bit of a hike to the lifts which is the price you pay for being in a quiet spot, I guess. There is easy walking access to the market square where you will find a large grocery store, liquor store and many shops.

My one suggestion to the owners would be to add wifi. Otherwise, it is good value and I would definitely stay there again.

Too Short a stay!!!

Great property, excellent condition (unlike some we have stayed in in the past). Only regret is the short 2 night stay. Didn't arrive till 1:30 am on the first night..ARGHHH!!! Never had a chance to even try out the very well equipped kitchen! The only beef (a tiny one for me but my buddy was a bit perplexed by it's absence) was the lack of wifi. Other than that the place is perfect, it's quiet, neat, and like new.

The North star complex has a great pool and hot tub and it is so handy being close to the amenities like the Market Place. The shuttle stop is pretty much right across the road, very convenient, less walking than the so called "short walk" to lifts accommodations right in the heart of the village. Also greatly appreciated the fact that on check out day the owner allowed us to continue parking in his condo's parking space till the end of the ski day (trade your mother awesome powder day that Thursday!!!). I am not sure the parking spot favour is something that he could extend to everyone, in our case there was an unoccupied day between our rental and the next so I suppose it worked out...just saying. All the same very appreciated, thanks!!

Also, in conjunction with the above the North Star's pool and hot tub change rooms and showers were made available to us after our day playing in the pow even though we had checked out that morning, sooooo thankful as I personally had a red eye back to TO later that evening! Can't beat this place, that is why we keep coming back to the North Star.

At one point in time or another I have stayed at almost every accommodation that Whistler/Blackcomb has had to offer (though I live in Toronto I consider Whistler my home "ski hill") I visit two to three times a year, some stays are short like this one (2 days) some are as long as three weeks. Personally I think the North Star is one of the best values available at Whistler/Blackcomb all things considered. All the same, you might still shop around, I think in the last few years some of the North Star owners have come to realize that they can ask more for their condos, and they do some are quite expensive, especially the two bedrooms. This one was just about perfect!

Condominium is very comfortable and close to free ski bus. We found the kitchen needs the pots and pans updating . The spa feature , in the bath tub does not work. A general update of this Condo would widen it's rental appeal.

Great place to stay in Whistler

Great location, just outside the village. Literally cross the street and you are in the village yet we were away from the busyness. We stayed during a heat wave in Whistler. We were concerned about the temperature but, being a ground unit, the place was nice and cool. Comfortable bed, really nice having laundry there as well. It was a very quiet location at night, no noise which was important to us. We would strongly recommend this place for others as well. Free paring was a nice bonus as well.

This was my first time using a vacation rental and definitely not the last. With a party of 4, this was very ideal for what we were looking for. The kitchen had all the facilities that we needed and a lot of cutlery. The living room was good, along with the bedroom. There were an ample amount of towels provided even for two visits to the hot tub & pool. The bathroom was clean! A huge plus!!

The only downside was that the carpet had not been vacumed after the prior guests. However, the owner did take care of it and was cleaned up within 12 hours.

The location is honestly perfect...less than a 5 minute walk to IGA and the Village itself.

Return to the property? Definitely!

We are regular visitors to Whistler and usually stay at the Stoney Creek complex because of the location and amenities. However this unit was a very dirty unit ( layers of dust on the kitchen fan and hair in the fridge ) and the kitchen supplies minimal and a lot of it not functional . No internet as well. I noticed with other reviews that the cleanliness has been an issue for and yet when we talked to the owner about it he seemed unaware. We would not stay in this unit again.

Hi Len, the place was comfortable, and suited our family of 3...but I would say that it could use a very thorough cleaning of all linen (including pull-out) and changing out some of the kitchen tools, as they are old/tired and/or not very clean. We were there only one night, so it suited our short stay, but I would not stay again unless your cleaning crew spends a bunch of time going over every thing. The location is very good, parking convenient, and the rest of the amenities were suitable. Thank you!

Very good location for skiing. Nice, cosy property when not skiing. All amenities that we needed. Only quibbles: could use better instructions on location/name of property; how to access property when we arrived (we ended up hauling luggage from roundabout at front of complex, rather than from much closer underground parking), and; better instructions on how to connect to Wi-Fi. Other than that, very enjoyable stay!

This condo was clean and had a very convenient location next to the market IGa etc. Pool and hot rub nice. Great underground free parking. However couldn't get the cable TV to work. Tv could be updated and mattress was fairly soft and both could be replaced.

A lovely apartment in a great spot! Literally across from the marketplace. Very close to everything (waking distance). Had a wonderful stay. Only thing I would comment on is that the bed was unmade where someone had slept and the towels dirty in the bath. A quick wash of those didn't really bother us due to the other overall fab stay.

North Star #50 is an ideal place to spend your Whistler holiday. The unit is comfortable and well appointed, located close to Village attractions but also far enough away to be quiet at night. You are about a seven to ten minute walk to the lifts, and the IGa grocery store is right across the street from the North Star complex. My only complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were horrifically dull and made cooking difficult, but if that is all the trouble one has with their vacation rental, you should be pleased.

Stayed here to ski with my teenage son. Very spacious condo, fully stocked, clean, comfortable beds. Laundry inside condo and shared hot tub for achy muscles was also nice. I liked the location because it is away from the bar noise in the village yet grocery & liquor store directly across the street. Bus stop is also directly across the street for free shuttle to slopes and bus runs often. Very short walk at night to many restaurants. Combination lock for door avoided checkin, which was great.

I love staying in this part of Whistler because once you get there, you just park the car and everything is within walking distance or we take the free shuttle to the ski lifts. It's so convenient. The place was cosy and had most things we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. The building could have better sound proofing. I could hear people walking around with their ski boots on earlier than I wanted to. Otherwise, no major complaints.

We love our stays at #50 North Star in Whistler. This home is cozy; relaxing,spacious, and decorated in warm colours with interesting vibrant artwork throughout. We love its peacefulness yet it is only steps away from the vibrancy of the Village. We love the hottub and pool, ending each day of skiing and hiking with a couple hours of relaxing bliss. We have fond memories at North Star and can't wait to come back.

very well maintained condo. everything was easy to use and well explained for the renter. I stayed there for a girls retreat with my best friend and slept on the hide a bed, the only thing is it could eventualy need a new mattress or a mattress pad. I will be trying to stay in this unit in the spring or summer with my husband!!

We had such a great time in Whistler and the accomodations far exceeded our expectations. We were provided with easy to understand instructions on how to get to the home and get settled in. The home is really spacious with up to date furnishings and very clean. With such a reasonable price I would not hesitate to return.

Great place to stay. The Market Place across the street is convenient for replenishing supplies. Free Shuttle Bus (new - fuel cell powered - wow) stops across the street and provides hassle free transportation around Whistler. Adventure outdoors, party in town or stay in with a book and toast your toes in front of the fire place.

This one bedroom condo is located in a very nice development across the street from the IGa Marketplace and access to the Village Stroll. We have stayed in the Stoney Creek North Star before and love the convenience. The are 2 minor quibbles about this particular suite: it is located away from the check-in driveway so you have to carry your luggage a considerable distance to the suite (if you have trouble carrying, check to see if they have trolleys in the main office). The second point to note is that there is no mountain view from this ground floor suite. The lack of a view does not bother us (we live in BC and are regular visitors to Whistler) - but it might not work for out of province visitors who want to enjoy the mountains from inside their suite (look for a 2 bdrm suite in the same development; they are upstairs and are more likely to have a view). Aside from these quibbles we loved the suite and would stay again. It was spotlessly clean and appeared to have been painted in the last few months. The furniture was very comfortable - especially the 2 over sized leather chairs in the living room. There were interesting and original art pieces in the suite. We had fun talking about which pieces we liked and which ones we hated - but even the ones we hated are better than the generic prints you would find in most hotels and condos. A few other features that we appreciated: black out drapes; a well stocked kitchen; heat control in every room; gas fireplace; and outdoor pool/ hot tub (even in the snow).

The location was great and the size of the place was good for my husband and I and our 2 toddlers. It included everything we needed and the fact that there was a pool was a bonus. It would be helpful if some spare light bulbs were available as 2 over the dinner table were out and 2 in the bathroom as well (bathroom didn't matter as much). Additionally there is a spring sticking out of the sofa bed which should be covered with something. I don't know if it is possible for renters to turn the pilot light off in the fireplace in the summer as it gave off a lot of heat. Overall it was really good and I would recommend staying here and would stay again. Thank you.

We chose this unit because of the close vicinity to the village and were very happy with our choice. The furnishings were very comfortable and provided enough space for 4 people with room to entertain. Would come back again!

This was the 3rd time I've stayed at the Northstar. Great location in a quiet corner of the complex. The suite had everything we needed to cook our own meals with a very comfortable layout. Check in was a breeze. We made great use of the pool as it was sunny and hot. Hope to stay many more times!
