Welcome to High Country, an adventure playground. Saddle on up to Sun Peaks, a four season resort and park your caboose at Unit 14 on 16  at Settlers Crossing. With our home backing on to the 16th hole of the golf course, you'll never miss a tee time again. Crikey, our ski-in, ski-out location near the future Orient Express Chair Lift and Mount Morrisey will knock your socks off. Once here, soak your worries away in our Limited Edition Beachcomber Hot Tub for five situated on the top level private deck. Don't forget the volcano massage for your feet or the LED light show when it's dark. Please note: hot tub available in ski season only. Fancy a feast or light refreshments in our fully equipped kitchen. If you've come out from the cold, our heated floors will keep your tootsies warm. Don't forget a hot cocoa by the fireplace whilst sitting in our sumptuous leather sofa. Perhaps the surround sound to keep your DVD movies alive on the Sony Bravia LCD TV. Or just sit back and enjoy the views looking out towards the 16th hole of Sun Peaks golf course with mountain views beyond. Don't forget to secure your stuff in your very own ski locker (by the front door). Did you bring your lap-top or ipad cause this crib has high speed wireless internet access!  Property Description

Your private entrance townhouse leads to a second floor heaven. Only 12 stairs takes you to 900 square feet of pure poetry including a queen size bed and ensuite in master bedroom. Second bedroom has a queen size bunk bed with twin on top. Toshiba TV with built in DVD player sits inside the armoire. Only steps away is your bathroom which to me is like an ensuite. Well appointed living room with leather couch and micro-fiber pull-out sofa bed, beautiful wood coffee table and corner table to match. Gas fireplace, floor to ceiling windows with views, and don't forget the vaulted ceilings. Leather chairs surround the dark wood dining table for 6. Heated tile floors for tootsies and the kitchen is to die for. Secure heated underground parking, ski locker by front door, and wireless internet access all included for your enjoyment. Don't forget to bring your laptop. The dvd library is under the tv.  Out on your private deck sits your own private hot-tub for five people. Views look out towards the 16th hole of the golf course and behind that is Mt. Tod, some 7000 feet high. Sun Peaks is play time re-defined!

Warm and cozy, the main focus of this living room is the fireplace surrounded by floor to high vaulted ceiling windows. Snuggle on the leather couch with blankets or get intimate on the love seat. Watch your favorite movies on the 32" Sony LCD flat-panel tv complete with surround sound. Lovely wood blinds keep the light out if you are sleeping and the second floor gives you some beautiful views of the 16th hole golf course/ski run.

To open cover please pull cover towards you (about 3 inches) until black bar of cover lifter is in the groove of the cover. Using two people on either side, gently lift cover and enjoy this awesome hot-tub.

Garbage Pickup Please take your garbage to the transfer station near the entrance to SunPeaks. Do not under any circumstances leave your garbage outside as this will attract the bears and you and I both know this is not bear smart!!!

We will not incur any costs when you cash in this cheque. Please, please, please absolutely no candles. We have provided a battery operated lantern and a few flashlights as well. If power is out, use your cell phone.

Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellation by Guest: All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will refund your money at the re-booked rate minus a 4% cancellation fee

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site

Guest Stay Policies

Policy Description
Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.
Bike Storage Prohibited to store bike in condo. You could try locking it in the underground.
Check-In Time 4 pm.
Check-Out Time 10 am. strictly enforced. Our cleaners will enter the unit right at 10am.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs stemming from extraordinary cleaning above the standard typical Guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage
Excessive Noise This is a family-oriented, quiet development. Noise complaints may result in eviction by local police or security personnel. Normal conversation and laughing pitch is permitted. Screaming, swearing, yelling, etc are not.
Garbage Removal Please take Garbage to the Transfer Station located on Industrial Way (western entrance to the resort). or leave garbage inside for the cleaners to remove. BE BEAR AWARE!!!
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included.
Internet Availability & Usage wireless internet. for okranner manor guests only. Bring your laptop, ipad, iphone, or other device and voila!
Liability Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury while in transit to the property, in the property,or on resort lands. make sure you have purchased travel/medical insurance before you leave home
Locking Door lock door using the four digits provided to you in your email correspondence. There are three lock-outs within the unit, see FAQ.
Maintenance Emergencies Emergency contacts provided upon balance payment.

Reservation Guarantee If our property is damaged & we cannot fulfill your reservation, you will be given the option to either cancel your reservation with a 100% refund, or be moved to a comparable property.

where do you keep your awesome dvd collection? You'll find them under the tv. Some are for children and some are adults only!

why don't you have a telephone? In our quest to save on costs, we cut the phone. Moreover most people will have a cell phone at their disposal. We do pass these cost savings on to you!

what is the code to get in the underground? code to underground parking will be given to you when reservation booked.

power outage

What do we do when the power is out? Use the battery operated lantern. No Candles allowed!!! Pack a flashlight in your suitcase as well. Comes in handy when you are walking around at night!

How do we keep warm if the power is out? Good news, the fireplace still works and will keep warming the cockles of your hearts

damage deposit

How do I get my damage deposit back after I have left? Once we get the okay from the cleaners, your damage deposit will be mailed to your address provided within 15 days. Unfortunately, Alluradirect does not refund damage deposits back on to your credit card. Out of town guests will receive a cheque for $500 in Canadian funds only. We will not incur any costs for you to cash this cheque.

Is the hot- tub running during the spring, summer, and fall months? Unfortunately, like most owners, we shut down operation of hot-tub in the spring, summer and fall months, but in the winter it is on, on, on, all the time!

lock-outs

Why are some closests locked? There are three lock-outs in our unit. The first one is the large closest at top of stairs. The second is the lower right kitchen corner cabinet to right of sink. Lastly the master bedroom closest closest to wall is locked. These are for owners use only.

hot-tub guidelines

What do I need to know before using a hot-tub? Persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, etc., should not enter a hot tub without medical consultation. In addition, use by the elderly and infants is not recommended without medical consultation. NEVER let children use the hot tub unsupervised! Keep your hot tub covered and locked between periods of use. Don't leave an open hot tub unattended. Never use a hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, anti-coagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics, or tranquilizers. Spa heat accelerates the effects of alcohol and drugs and can cause unconsciousness. Leave the hot tub immediately if you feel uncomfortable or drowsy. Most important: Never use the hot tub alone. Observe a reasonable time limit when soaking in a hot tub, then shower, cool down, and if you wish, return for another brief stay. Long exposures may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting. Excessive water temperature is potentially dangerous. Always check the water temperature in the spa with an accurate thermometer - and your hands - before use. The recommended maximum temperature of the water is 104°F. Persons new to a spa will probably prefer 100°F as a beginning temperature. Pregnant women should consult their physicians before use. Limit soaking use to 10 minutes at a time.

How many people can you fit in your Limited Edition Beachcomber Hot-Tub? MAXIMUM 5 (five) people on deck and/or in hot-tub at any one time. The deck is engineered to take the weight of the hot-tub and only 5 people total at any given time.

How many people can be on the outside deck at any one time? Maximum 5 (five) people can be on the deck and/or in the hot-tub at any one time. Anymore people constitutes a real risk to your safety.

When is quiet time? Quiet time is any day 11pm to 7am

hot-tub cover lifter

How do I lift the cover off the hot-tub Pull cover 3 inches towards you until black bar of cover lifter is in the groove of the hot-tub cover. Then with two people on either side, gently lift cover and enjoy this awesome hot-tub!

 About Us

It was purely by accident that we stumbled onto Sun Peaks. We originally had a nordic skiing holiday planned at 108 Mile House but were very disappointed with the lack of snow. We cancelled our accommodation and went on a quest for snow. As we were in the general area we checked out Kamloops and the local ski hill....Sun Peaks. Everything after that point is history as they say!

The weekend was the second time we stayed in this condo. Once in the summer now and once in the winter. Both were fabulous. Actually the winter stay was all we could have hoped for. Ski in, ski out was literally from the door. We will be booking it again. Thanks for a great girls weekend away.

Our week was perfect in all respects. The condo is fully equipped and just right for our family. The hot tub, fireplace, and access to the hill for skiing and sledding is top notch. The owners were more than accommodating in all respects and we were delighted to have been able to find this location. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family who ski at Sun Peaks very year. We too, hope to return. With many other families we knew in the same development it was tons of fun. Wonderful condo - with everything busy skiers need at the end of a fun-filled day. We loved watching other skiers from the large windows, and the tranquil location away from main roads. We are definitely going to re-book next year!

We stayed here for a week with our 3 yo twins and had a blast! Truly ski in ski out from your door. Just ski down to Morrissey chair and buy your ticket - no need to go to the village to buy it. Loved the idea that we just walked down 12 steps and had a snowy playground for our kids to play in and make snowmen. It's a rarer unit that is not hidden behind trees for the view. I like to top floor unit because it gives you much taller windows to enjoy the mountain view and bring in light or even just watch the kids playing in the snow. Hot tub was a warm welcome at -10. Although I didn't see any instructions on how to increase the temp above 98 (but perhaps you are not suppose to) The village is about 15 mins away down a gradual hill that we pulled our kids into with a sled. There are a few nice paths you can take that make the trip nice. The ice ring and umbrella café/tobogganing are close at 10 , 5 mins away. Sun Peaks is a great lower key (than whistler) family getaway in the winter. We are mountain bikers so I'm not sure if the unit would be suitable for summer as I don't know where we'd keep the valuable bikes. But for the winter, we plan to come back! Great memories!! Thank you!

We just love Sun Peaks, having been several times before as friends of ours also have a condo in Settler's Crossing. The view from Unit 14 is wonderful - straight onto the slopes. We especially enjoyed the hot tub... Nicely furnished apartment, with two good sized bedrooms and nicely appointed bathrooms. We'll be back.

Sun Peaks retreat

We spent here wonderful family time. Weather and snow cooperated and were simply amazing. We found the place easily accessible, very clean, nicely decorated with high quality appliances and utensils. Convenient ski-in + ski-out to Morrisey. I like the best quiet location and nice hot-tub. I wouldn't mind having barbecue on the porch - but that was not a big deal. Very reasonably priced - strongly recommended.

This condo has it all, Has the best location in all the units. The condo has everyting one might need, high end appliances, untensils, cookware and cutlery. Heated floors are a welcome early morning addition. Furniture is comfortable - beds are great had great night sleeps. It is a fair walk to the village and a little harder on the way back (not because of all the beers in the village). Ski in is easier that ski out you do have to skate ski a little to get to the lift but quite easy and not alot. We want to return and will be asking for this condo everytime. Skiing was awesome - lots of powder.
