Great visit to Whistler

John from Ottawa, Canada
Date: Feb-12-2017 for a stay in Jan 2017

This condo in Lake Placid Lodge was perfect for our family of six plus a few friends who came up for the weekend. Great location for skiers as the gondola station is just across the street from the Lodge. Whistler Creekside has everything you need and some good restaurants nearby - we liked the Rimrock which we could walk to.

Great value for a 4 bedroom which can sleep 9, we love the hot tub after a full day of skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans etc. so we could easily prepare great meals for our group and the nearby grocery store has just about everything!

vacation saved by the property manager

John from Renton, United States
Date: Jan-19-2017 for a stay in Dec 2016

Our Christmas vacation could have been ruined when we received a call 3 days prior to leaving that condo may not be ready for us due to renovations but Kerry Wallace (property manager) worked with me to get it resolved even while she was on vacation. I have to give kudos to Kerry and the work she put in while on vacation to get the place ready for us to stay at. The place showed that renovations was not completed (i.e. bathroom sink was not attached to the counter) but overall the location, amenities and the great partnership with Kerry made our stay great. I would highly recommend staying at a place Kerry manages.

Perfect for our family!

Mercy from Seattle, United States
Date: Jan-08-2017 for a stay in Dec 2016

This unit was perfect for our family ski holiday! The townhouse accommodated my parents, sisters, and kids. The open kitchen/dining/living area made for nice family gatherings at meal times. We enjoyed the conveniences of the gas fireplace in the living room and the gear storage in the entry foyer. We felt lucky to find a townhouse of this size for a reasonable price at such a convenient location. The skiers/boarders in our group were able to easily get to the Creekside lifts right across the street and folks who wanted to check out Whistler Village had a 7-minute bus ride with the bus stop just across the street. We made good use of the hot tub and heated pool. The kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating but are perfectly functioning and the unit is equipped with everything that you need for dining in. Kerry was just great throughout the whole process--so prompt, informative and helpful from booking to pre-travel questions, and immediately responsive when a maintenance issue came up. We had such a great stay--everyone in our party enjoyed themselves. We'd recommend this for anyone looking to accommodate a larger group and wanting to stay convenient to the lifts. Thanks, Kerry!

Great 2 Night Weekend stay in September

Gillian from PORT MOODY, Canada

Great location, townhouse and complex. My only complaint is the process of gaining access to the accommodation is a like doing a portion of the amazing race. I realize this is for security purposes, but wow! Oh and the shower curtain in the main bathroom was rather moldy....

Would definitely stay again though.

Grandma's treat to Whistler (3 adults and five boy

JUNE from Maple Ridge, Canada
Date: Mar-20-2016 for a stay in Mar 2016

This was the third year I have taken this same group to Whistler at spring break staying at different locations in Whistler. Being a little late to book this year as my son was having chemo and wanted to make sure he would be up to the trip did limit our choices.

The Condo was fine with the exception of both bathrooms being on the main floor, and the ski lift near us was not one the boys cared for causing them time getting to the sites they wanted to board on, or one of us needed to drive them one way or both. Maybe we are just spolid as had ski in and ski out the two years before and dind't move our cars while we we're there.

3) Coffee-maker is very old and hard to use
4) Sauna doesn't work
5) Wi-Fi (SHAW) goes on and off and when works the speed is terrible

Value for money and location was great. Access to pool and hot tub, entrance and storage for skis/boots was excellent. The carpets were in need of deep cleaning, along with the baseboards. Overall the condo could use some updating and fresh paint, but we had everything we needed for two families. Kerry Wallace responded in timely manner to all questions and concerns.

Great spot to stay at! True Ski-In!

Parshotam from Burnaby, Canada
Date: Dec-15-2015 for a stay in Dec 2015

Place was clean, there were minor burns on the countertops but it wasn't too noticeable. The beds and linens were comfortable and clean and me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Those of us that went Skiing/Snowboarding appreciated how close the Creekside Gondola was!

The only negative was that the communal hot tub/pool/sauna closes at 10pm which usually only left us with an hour each night after we came back from the mountain and cleaned up and cooked dinner.

We just came back from our Whistler weekend get away and i must say our accomodations at Lake Placid was excellent and very comfortable!!! Everything was exactly the way it was described. We enjoyed having all the amenities just like at home.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable with clean linens and towels. The kitchen is well equiped to serve a large group like ours. We cooked most of our meals and even grilled some steaks on the barbecue which saved us a lot from eating out. There is wifi, cable tv, dvd players that kept us entertained.

We also enjoyed the pool and hut tub mostly to ourselves. Kerry is very professional and responded quickly to my questions & requests. This is definitely "a home away from home", I would stay here again next time & recommend to my friends.

Great location for biking and relaxing at the pool

Corinne from Abbotsford, Canada
Date: Aug-09-2015 for a stay in Jul 2015

We have been staying at Lake Placid Lodge in the summer for many years now, in different units. Its a great location for biking the Valley Trail, and the locked bike storage room in the building is very convenient. The pool and hot tub are great, with a good supply of chars, table etc....but some repairs are needed....many tiles have fallen off the pool edge and have not been replaced.

This was our first stay in a coach house unit and we really enjoyed the location and the space it offered. None of the units in this building have air conditioning, so in hot summer weather they are usually very warm, especially at night. The windows in this unit all face North, towards the pool/courtyard, so it stayed surprisingly cool inside, even though it was 30C while we were there. There are two pedestal fans in the unit and we brought two more fans from home, so we were able to move the air around and keep it reasonably cool and comfortable.

The unit itself was as described and we were pleased with it. It definitely needs some updating....carpets, bathroom & kitchen fixtures, appliances and counters are all getting quite tired and worn, but everything is mostly functional. The bottom shelf on the fridge door is broken off, so door storage in the fridge was reduced, but other than that, everything else worked. The kitchen was not quite as well supplied as we would have thought. There was a good selection of tall glasses, but no short glasses for juice, etc... The set of dishes was complete but only large soup bowls. Not many serving dishes either. Some smaller dishes/bowls would have been nice too....little bowls for yogurt, small servings, etc...

Overall we were pleased with the unit and we would recommend it to others, but we made a list of little things to bring from home next time if we stay there again. So, if there's something in particular you need in the kitchen to make your stay comfortable it's a good idea to bring it with you, just in case!

Wonderful Whistler Accommodation - And owner!

Kerry is wonderful! She was so easy to do business with and was readily available to answer any questions. She also assisted us in getting back a pair of lost keys - shes great! The condo is beautiful and in a great location. Everything is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable.

The condo comes well stocked with towels and dishes/cutlery for many people and having a dish washer and laundry facilities within the condo is fabulous.

The only downside is the air flow through the place in Summer isnt the best, BUT Kerry provides 2 fans and if you leave all the windows open (all windows have screens) it mitigates this issues mostly. My only recommendation would be to bring another fan if you plan on occupying more than 2 rooms.

Overall, amazing condo, fantastic owner. Recommend to anyone!

Terrific Spring week - great place

Katherine from New York, United States
Date: Apr-08-2015 for a stay in Mar 2015

We have stayed at Lake Placid Lodge many times over the past 10 years and this townhouse is the best we've been in. The location of Lake Placid Lodge is, of course, ideal, with the 5 minute walk to the Creekside Gondola, but the location of this townhouse is also wonderful, with a 30 second sprint from front door to hot tub at the end of a long ski day! The unit is spacious and well equipped. We hope to rent this one again! Thank you Kerry.

a home away from home

Wonderful Condo and Owner!

Kerry is amazing. She really went above and beyond and even helped us find lost keys after our stay. The condo is fantastic, great location, fully equipped for large groups. The in suite washer, dryer and dishwasher was an added bonus. The only downside is it can get quite hot in the summer. 2 fans are provided, and if you open up all the windows (which have screens) it mostly solves this. However, if you plan to occupy more than 2 bedrooms id suggest bringing an additional fan with you. Overall an amazing condo, with tons of space and great facilities. Would stay here again and do business with Kerry any day - shes great!

Relaxing place to stay.

overall our stay was was a home away from home. We were 2 families of 4. Felt comfortable and safe. The view was amazing. Had a little hiccup on the day of our arrival, but was corrected by Kerry Wallace. I would stay here again. Maybe needs a little upgrades on the carpet and kitchen counter tops. Other than that it has everything we needed.

Lake Placid Lodge - Gem

My sons and I spent a second vacation at Whistler staying in the same Lake Placid Lodge unit. It was our home away from home and a complete success. Across from Creekside Gondola, and village shops the location was perfect. The ample kitchen and common area meant that the fun continued after the hills were closed by cooking, conversation and eating together after using the central hot tub and pool.

Needs updating, and is not good for summer

Jim M from Dublin, Ireland

We could see how this condo would be great in winter, but staying in summer wasn't so good. It was very hot, even at night, and there aren't enough fans to go around - or windows to open. The whole place needs updating, but this was probably more evident because it was summer, and the musty carpet and upholstery were obvious. The pool would've been great, but it doesn't open until late in the morning (hours after the kids have been up and are already hot), and stays open until too late in the evening, so you have to put up with the noise coming from the overcrowded pool - the condo faces it. A really frustrating feature - you need a key to use the washrooms at the pool.

We had a great time at the Lake Placid Lodge - it was a great location and the townhouse was very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The pool was also great and we used it a lot!

We had a great stay here! It was a 2 minute walk from the gondola and minutes away from groceries stores and restaurants so extremely convenient. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Kerry was extremely accommodating. We would definitely come back!

Affordable and very convenient

This a great place, well managed, very close to the Creekside gondola and with plenty of free parking. Perfect layout and plenty of space for two couples and five kids. The condo complex is one of the oldest in Whistler, so it is not luxurious, but for what you get, the price is right.

Excellent base for a great holiday

Six of us stayed in the apartment recently on a ski trip. We found it to be a great place in an excellent little village. The location just a few minutes from the gondola was perfect and the amenities more than met our expectations. These included a drying room, modern well equipped kitchen, clothes washer and drier, TVs and free wifi. The access to the spa pool and BBQ was also appreciated. The apartment was warm, comfortable and quiet. Whistler Creekside was a very convenient location with shops (including a grocery store) very close and a couple of nice eating places. Whistler itself was only a quick, cheap, bus ride away if we needed more options. All together highly recommended.

The condo is perfect, right across the street is a grocery store, starbucks, subway, and many other little shops. Just a 5min drive to the Whistler Village. When we arrived everything was clean and the check in instructions were so easy to follow. Felt very safe. Great size rooms and all the kitchen appliances were there making it easy to cook meals. Super homey with a gas fireplace and comfortable couches. Mid week housekeeping comes and will clean whatever you need or leave you with fresh towels if thats all you want. No complaints, very great stay and would book again for the next trip up to Whistler!

We stayed in a similiar unit the summer before and really like the layout. The unit was very practical and spacious. The master bedroom could have used a dresser for clothing rather than just a table. The kitchen could have been better appointed - no frying pan to be found, cloth napkins. Otherwise good value

Owner Response

There are 2 frying pans with lids and a large saute pan with lid in the townhouse. Paper serviettes are supplied.

money well spent.

Ideal place for kids

We chose the location as we wanted a place that quiet and had a pool and access to valley trails and mountain biking. The townhouse we stayed at was perfect for two families with kids between 2-5 yrs. We cooked all our meals and it was nice to do that on high quality cookware. We definitely plan on renting again as our two families had an awesome time as it offered everything we were looking for. The valleytrail were close by so the women went for early runs and then the whole family was able to bike to the beaches on the valley trail and then enjoy the afternoon by the pool while the men went for their mountain bike rides. It was also nice that the pool closed by 10 pm so it was quiet after that time for our kids to sleep.

7 adults and 2 kids, comfortable and well supplied with linen, etc. for us all. The hot tub is large and hot. Unfortunatly the pool was closed for repair but looked nice. Lake Placid Lodge is well maintained and our unit was clean, nice dishes, pots and pans, coffee marker etc. Enjoyed our stay, Whistler is so beautiful.

We wanted to talk to you personally because we had such an amazing time at lake placid resort. It had everything we were expecting and much more. It's literally a 2 min walk and all amenities are across the street. The boot room t the entrance is perfect and the kids loved the pool and hot tub! It was their favorite part of the day. Ours was the powder! We had memories to last a lifetime and we will be back for many more. We would like to book in this exact place every year for the next 10 years.

We very much enjoyed the Lake Placid Lodge. It was very well located for good ski lift access as well as good shopping and eating only a short walk away. We had (8) guys in our party and the condo accomidated us well. Only negitive was the security: a key is required to get in and out of the condo complex. Other than that we had nothing to complain about!

We had a great time with 2 other families who also had young kids. The location was superb - in easy walking distance to shops and the lifts. The suite worked very well - great price and it was in nice shape. The stairs were a hit with the kids - the short runs with landings made them popular with even the crawlers.

The townhouse was spacious, although only one bedroom had an ensuite bathroom, and the other bathroom had to theoretically be shared by up to 7 people. The kitchen was not extremely well supplied, but the kitchen table was beautiful and comfortable. Being able to keep our skis and gear in our own townhome was a great advantage. The location, pool and hot tub are this townhouse's best assets.

Kerry was very helpful and efficient in getting us setup with our reservation. The condo itself had everything we needed and is well located right by the pool where the kids spend many hours day and night. The Creekside location was perfect for us because it was close to groceries (walking down the street in minutes) and close to the valley bike trails. Would happily stay here again!

Spacious Townhouse in Creekside

We slept nine very comfortably in this place and we really felt comfortable in the week that we rented this place. The four kids enjoyed having the bunk beds room to themselves. We also rented a two-bedroom in the same complex for more people. It was great to have the pool and BBQ which was always kept clean. You are a ten-minute drive from Whistler Village but I liked being out of the crowds and I really enjoyed bking on the trails that led to town. Overall, everyone was very happy with our stay and would be interested in returning. I appreciated that Kerry called us the first day to make sure that we settled in ok and to set the tone that if there were difficulties that she was reachable. This place would not be good for people who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Great place for a bunch of guys. Lots of beds and the hot tub/pool are very inviting. Well run. The location is convenient to all amenities. Once the gear is unloaded - you won't need your vehicle again till the end of your trip. We think it's the best deal in Whistler.

Great find in Whistler Creekside

A FlipKey verified reviewer from Seattle

This Creekside Village townhouse is in a great location to walk directly to the gondola to get on the slopes as well as access to all of the amenities in this cozier Whistler village. And it's only a 5 minute drive up to the main village. The condo itself has plenty of sleeping space and a nice open layout for the living/dining/kitchen area. Everything was super clean with extra blankets and towels for our stay. This is a great find and we will keep this place in mind for future Whistler vacations.
