This townhouse is kitty corner, and only a 2 minute walk,  from the Whistler Mountain Creekside Gondola.  Creekside Gondola Base has full WhistlerBlackcomb Guest Services, including lift tickets; rentals; ski school;  Whistler Kids programmes; and shops and restaurants.

It is a 10 minute drive to cross country skiing in the Callaghan Valley and to snowmobile country.

The townhouse has a foyer entrance on ground level, main living and 2 bedrooms on second floor, and 2 bedrooms on third floor. These are the stairs.
The hot tub is open 1pm to 10pm in winter and 10am to 10pm in summer.
The pool is open 1pm to 10pm in winter and 10am to 10pm in summer. The Coach House town homes are in the building behind the pool. The town house is located just to the left of the picture.

Private door ground floor entrance with full ski storage in the Foyer. On the second level there is an open concept living area with full kitchen, dining room, living room and deck. Also on second level is the master bedroom and ensuite, single bedroom and the second full bathroom. On the third level are 2 bedrooms: one with queen bed, and one with 4 single bunk beds.

Location

Creekside has undergone a tremendous redevelopment over the last several years, and is now a smaller, quieter village in its own right.  Lake Placid Lodge is across the street from the Creekside Gondola and Creekside Base.

Alpine Skiing/ Boarding
The Creekside Gondola up Whistler Mountain is across the street.  Whistler Ski School,  Whistler Kids programmes, and rentals and lift tickets are across the street at Creekside Base.

To ski Whistler Mtn, take the Creekside Gondola up, then continue up Red chair.  To ski Blackcomb Mtn, from the top of Red Chair take the Peak2Peak Gondola; or take the Creekside Gondola & from top of gondola ski into Whistler Village; or download on the Whistler Gondola, then take Excalibur Gondola up Blackcomb.

Nordic Cross Country Skiing

Lake Placid Lodge is a 10 minute drive from Whistler Olympic Park and the Callaghan Valley, the venue for Olympic 2010 Nordic ski events.  Zoom out to locate Whistler Olympic Park on the map above.

Snowmobiling and Sledding

Creekside is the closed area in Whistler to back country sledding.

 

 

 A grocery store, liquor store, bank, Starbucks and restaurants are across the street. Great location for large family groups and safe for older children walking around the shops.

The drive to Whistler Village takes about 10-15 minutes, with free parking in the skier day parking lots 4 to 8. There is a local transit bus into the Village.

This townhouse with private entrance faces out into the courtyard, and is steps from the brand new hot tub and pool.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests All deposits are non-refundable. There is no refund if your arrival is delayed at the last minute. All refunds are made by personal cheque. Balance Refund Nov 1- Apr 31: Balance is non refundable except if reservation is replaced. Refund equals value of reservation with which the cancelled booking is replaced minus 4% cancellation fee. Balance Refund May 1- Oct 31: The balance is refunded minus 4% cancellation fee with minimum notice of 24 hours.
Delayed Arrivals No refund.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Emailed when balance paid.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservation Changes You may lengthen your stay at no charge. Shortening your stay is considered a partial cancellation and subject to cancellation policy above. To change dates, but total nights remain the same: before balance paid, no charge. After balance paid: Winter: fee is $100 Summer: no charge.

Guest Stay Policies

Bike Storage Bike lock up room beside lobby.
Check-In Time 4 pm. Please request early check-in in advance.
Check-Out Time 10 am. Please request late check out in advance.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs If cleaning required is more than the normal 6 hours, excess costs will be charged to the guest. Including but not limited to any cleaning needed by restoration services, a plumber, stains, odor, smoking in the unit, or cooking. Any extra cleaning costs to restore the townhouse to the same condition as it was upon check in.
Excessive Noise Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, after one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.
Forgotten Items by Guest There is a $15 charge for returning forgotten items to guests. Guests are responsible for all mailing costs for forgotten items.
Housekeeping Complimentary. For reservations of 7 nights or more, full linen change and bathrooms cleaned about every fifth day during your stay. The kitchen is to be maintained by the guest.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 9.
Property Damage Guests assume all financial responsibility for any property damage incurred by you or your guests. While no damage deposit is requested, you are financially responsible for any damage incurred by you or your guests during your stay.

Lake Placid Lodge - Gem

My sons and I spent a second vacation at Whistler staying in the same Lake Placid Lodge unit. It was our home away from home and a complete success. Across from Creekside Gondola, and village shops the location was perfect. The ample kitchen and common area meant that the fun continued after the hills were closed by cooking, conversation and eating together after using the central hot tub and pool.

Needs updating, and is not good for summer

We could see how this condo would be great in winter, but staying in summer wasn't so good. It was very hot, even at night, and there aren't enough fans to go around - or windows to open. The whole place needs updating, but this was probably more evident because it was summer, and the musty carpet and upholstery were obvious. The pool would've been great, but it doesn't open until late in the morning (hours after the kids have been up and are already hot), and stays open until too late in the evening, so you have to put up with the noise coming from the overcrowded pool - the condo faces it. A really frustrating feature - you need a key to use the washrooms at the pool.

We had a great time at the Lake Placid Lodge - it was a great location and the townhouse was very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The pool was also great and we used it a lot!

Great accomodation for a Group of 9.Everything was there for a self catering accomodation. Any issues dealt with in a timely fashion. Well presented and comfortable. Great location as a base for visiting whistler.

Great stay!

We had a great stay here! It was a 2 minute walk from the gondola and minutes away from groceries stores and restaurants so extremely convenient. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Kerry was extremely accommodating. We would definitely come back!

Affordable and very convenient

This a great place, well managed, very close to the Creekside gondola and with plenty of free parking. Perfect layout and plenty of space for two couples and five kids. The condo complex is one of the oldest in Whistler, so it is not luxurious, but for what you get, the price is right.

Excellent base for a great holiday

Six of us stayed in the apartment recently on a ski trip. We found it to be a great place in an excellent little village. The location just a few minutes from the gondola was perfect and the amenities more than met our expectations. These included a drying room, modern well equipped kitchen, clothes washer and drier, TVs and free wifi. The access to the spa pool and BBQ was also appreciated. The apartment was warm, comfortable and quiet. Whistler Creekside was a very convenient location with shops (including a grocery store) very close and a couple of nice eating places. Whistler itself was only a quick, cheap, bus ride away if we needed more options. All together highly recommended.

Perfect location and home!

The condo is perfect, right across the street is a grocery store, starbucks, subway, and many other little shops. Just a 5min drive to the Whistler Village. When we arrived everything was clean and the check in instructions were so easy to follow. Felt very safe. Great size rooms and all the kitchen appliances were there making it easy to cook meals. Super homey with a gas fireplace and comfortable couches. Mid week housekeeping comes and will clean whatever you need or leave you with fresh towels if thats all you want. No complaints, very great stay and would book again for the next trip up to Whistler!

Good family holiday

We stayed in a similiar unit the summer before and really like the layout. The unit was very practical and spacious. The master bedroom could have used a dresser for clothing rather than just a table. The kitchen could have been better appointed - no frying pan to be found, cloth napkins. Otherwise good value

Ideal place for kids

We chose the location as we wanted a place that quiet and had a pool and access to valley trails and mountain biking. The townhouse we stayed at was perfect for two families with kids between 2-5 yrs. We cooked all our meals and it was nice to do that on high quality cookware. We definitely plan on renting again as our two families had an awesome time as it offered everything we were looking for. The valleytrail were close by so the women went for early runs and then the whole family was able to bike to the beaches on the valley trail and then enjoy the afternoon by the pool while the men went for their mountain bike rides. It was also nice that the pool closed by 10 pm so it was quiet after that time for our kids to sleep.

7 adults and 2 kids, comfortable and well supplied with linen, etc. for us all. The hot tub is large and hot. Unfortunatly the pool was closed for repair but looked nice. Lake Placid Lodge is well maintained and our unit was clean, nice dishes, pots and pans, coffee marker etc. Enjoyed our stay, Whistler is so beautiful.

We wanted to talk to you personally because we had such an amazing time at lake placid resort. It had everything we were expecting and much more. It's literally a 2 min walk and all amenities are across the street. The boot room t the entrance is perfect and the kids loved the pool and hot tub! It was their favorite part of the day. Ours was the powder! We had memories to last a lifetime and we will be back for many more. We would like to book in this exact place every year for the next 10 years.

We very much enjoyed the Lake Placid Lodge. It was very well located for good ski lift access as well as good shopping and eating only a short walk away. We had (8) guys in our party and the condo accomidated us well. Only negitive was the security: a key is required to get in and out of the condo complex. Other than that we had nothing to complain about!

We had a great time with 2 other families who also had young kids. The location was superb - in easy walking distance to shops and the lifts. The suite worked very well - great price and it was in nice shape. The stairs were a hit with the kids - the short runs with landings made them popular with even the crawlers.

The townhouse was spacious, although only one bedroom had an ensuite bathroom, and the other bathroom had to theoretically be shared by up to 7 people. The kitchen was not extremely well supplied, but the kitchen table was beautiful and comfortable. Being able to keep our skis and gear in our own townhome was a great advantage. The location, pool and hot tub are this townhouse's best assets.

Lovely Labour Day Weekend at Whistler

Kerry was very helpful and efficient in getting us setup with our reservation. The condo itself had everything we needed and is well located right by the pool where the kids spend many hours day and night. The Creekside location was perfect for us because it was close to groceries (walking down the street in minutes) and close to the valley bike trails. Would happily stay here again!

Spacious Townhouse in Creekside

We slept nine very comfortably in this place and we really felt comfortable in the week that we rented this place. The four kids enjoyed having the bunk beds room to themselves. We also rented a two-bedroom in the same complex for more people. It was great to have the pool and BBQ which was always kept clean. You are a ten-minute drive from Whistler Village but I liked being out of the crowds and I really enjoyed bking on the trails that led to town. Overall, everyone was very happy with our stay and would be interested in returning. I appreciated that Kerry called us the first day to make sure that we settled in ok and to set the tone that if there were difficulties that she was reachable. This place would not be good for people who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Great place for a bunch of guys. Lots of beds and the hot tub/pool are very inviting. Well run. The location is convenient to all amenities. Once the gear is unloaded - you won't need your vehicle again till the end of your trip. We think it's the best deal in Whistler.

Great find in Whistler Creekside

This Creekside Village townhouse is in a great location to walk directly to the gondola to get on the slopes as well as access to all of the amenities in this cozier Whistler village. And it's only a 5 minute drive up to the main village. The condo itself has plenty of sleeping space and a nice open layout for the living/dining/kitchen area. Everything was super clean with extra blankets and towels for our stay. This is a great find and we will keep this place in mind for future Whistler vacations.
