Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Arrival Days Please do not try and check in before 4:00 pm or the unit will not be cleaned.Check out is at 10:00 am or earlier to allow cleaning for the next guest.
Cancellations Made by Guests The deposit is non-refundable. Once full payment has been made (45 days prior to arrival) no refund will be made unless we are able to replace the booking
Cancellations Made by Owners We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. All payments are non-refundable.

Delayed Arrivals Sorry, no refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Identification Documents We and our in-resort contacts reserve the right to ask all Guests for identification (one with photo) before or during their stay, to confirm their eligibility to book and stay in our property.
Guest Stay Contract By reserving online via your credit card, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and you acknowledge that you have legally accepted, read, understood, agree with, and will comply with our publicly advertised policies (including payment terms) on our web site.
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Reservation Changes Reservations may be changed in compliance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. If you would like to shorten your reservation, please note that your deposit calculated on the orignial amount is non-refundable; if you have already paid the balance, then your balance is similarly non-refundable. If you have not paid the balance,then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation

Guest Stay Policies

Amenity Terms of Use Please respect all private and common amenities of the property. Damage or excessive cleaning to any amenity will be charged to the Guest responsible.

Check-Out Time 10 am. Later check-out MAY be possible, however, if not previously arranged late check-outs are billed at $50/hour due to housekeeping schedule
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs See policy about property damage, above. Guests are expected to leave the chalet in an orderly fashion upon departure. A charge will be made for excessive cleaning, including leftover garbage.
Excessive Noise Please be considerate of our neighbours. Occupants may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for damages resulting from the noise complaints
Garbage Removal Please remove garbage during your stay and upon departure. Waste disposal area, 2km from village centre, direction Kelowna. A charge will be made for leftover garbage
Housekeeping Includes clean before arrival and after departure. The hot tub is serviced regularly. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense
Internet Availability & Usage Illegal downloads forbidden. Should we receive notification that such activity has occurred, the Guest responsible will be immediately evicted and charged for damages.
Liability I am not responsible for any injuries to tennants while they are on my property or anywhere else in Big White.
Locking Door Codes provided. Please lock the door at ALL times. Guests are required to securely lock all doors, entrances and windows when they are not in the unit or upon departure.
Maintenance Emergencies Emergency contact details will be provided to booked guests.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 12 People absolute maximum, no exceptions.The sofa bed is strictly for an ALTERNATIVE sleeping area, must NOT be used for additional guests. Strictly enforced - excess of more than 12 occupants will result in eviction

Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage There is a boot warmer in the upper entrance hallway. Please do not bring skis or snowboards into the chalet. Damage or excessive cleaning to the property due to your equipment will result in extra charges to your credit card.
Terms of Eviction Smoking, excessive noise, pets, threat of property damage, excess of 12 overnight guests. No refund if evicted

Reservation Guarantee In the event of property sale, property damage or double booking, I will make every effort to relocate you to a comparable property at no additional expense to you. If we are unable to relocate you, you will receive a refund of the full amount paid to us. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself from any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vaction-related events.

Is it possible to buy groceries at Big White? Yes, there is a large grocery store in the village centre called 'The Market' that carries a large range of products. You can also stop at Kelowna on your way up the mountain, where there are several large supermarkets

Getting to Big White

How do I get to Big White? A : You can fly, drive or take the Big White Shuttle bus. Kelowna International Airport is serviced by Air Canada, Jazz, WestJet, Horizon Air, Harmony Airways and Regional 1 Airlines with daily flights from Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Red Deer and Seattle. If you are driving to Big White, it is approx 4.5 hrs from Vancouver, via Hwy 97C, approx 6 hrs from Seattle via Hwy 97C, approx 4.5 hrs from Spokane via Hwy 395 and approx 2 hrs from Silver Star via Hwy 97 / 33

ATM Machines

Are there any ATM machines at Big White? There are four machines available: Next to the Activities Desk in the Village Centre Mall, Near the Ticket Office in the Happy Valley Day Lodge, Snowshoe Sam’s and The Market @ Big White

Transportation to Kelowna

Is there any transport to Kelowna? There is a shopping shuttle that departs every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from Happy Valley at 8:30am for $10. The shuttle will drop off passengers at Save-On Foods and return for pick-up at 3:00pm

Lift Passes and Ski-School

Where can I buy lift passes, and organise ski-school? To buy lift tickets, please go to the tickets desk at the Westridge Warming Hut, the Ridge Day Lodge, Happy Valley Day Lodge or the Village Centre Mall. The Ski/Board School Desk sells all ski/board lessons, also located in the Village Centre Mall. To rent ski or snowboarding equipment, please visit the Rental Shop located upstairs in the Village Centre Mall. To rent skates, please visit the ticket office at Happy Valley.

Child Care

Are there any child care facilities at Big White? Yes - The Tot Town Daycare Centre Children are kept busy with a mixture of indoor play and (weather permitting) outdoor activities. A maximum of 24 spaces requires parents to reserve and purchase a spot in advance to ensure availability. The Tot Town Daycare is for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

About Us

Hello from Dianne and James, and our three children. We have looked at many resorts around the world, but nothing compares to the joy of ski-ing at Big White, it is everything we dreamed of. The mild temperatures, the gorgeous powder snow, and the variety of terrain, along with the breathtaking views that British Columbia is famous for, makes it the best place we have ever skiied. What's more, there are very rarely any lift queues. Big White also has fabulous restaurants and bars, ice-skating, tubing, sleigh rides ski-mobile, and many other activities. Great accommodation with ski in access

We really enjoyed our stay at the arctic Fox B in the Forest development of Snow Pines Estate. The accommodation was as promised. It was a good layout for three couples and two kids. The set up for eating was great and the kitchen had plenty of room for preparing meals. The beds had good linens and were very comfortable. The owner was pretty good at getting back to us with respect to some minor issues we encountered. The townhouse is very easy to ski into off of Serwa's. The ski out is along the road through the Snow Pines subdivision. While it was fine when we were there due to fresh snow, if the road was plowed and gravelled you would likely want to walk the short distance. I would recomment this place as it is good value for the money.

Everything about this place was great. We had a fairly large group and had no problems, because there was lots of space for everyone. It was really fun jumping off the back rocks to ski in right to your door. Good times excellent place.

I have been to arctic Fox 3 times, and it has never disappointed me! Only gets better and better! The location of the house is super convenient, so snowboarder and skiers, you can ski in-n-out to lifts or the village any time of the day. The house is in great condition, and the furnitures are top quality(The super fluffy pillows are to die for!! One of them are even scented!!). The house is also equipped with game consoles and hundreds of Dvds. The floor heating system keeps the house cozy and warm all day, so I never got cold. After a tiring day on the slopes, I always relax in the jacuzzi with friends and family, while enjoying the exceptional views of the mountains. The best of all, the price is very reasonable!! Definitely worth it. Arctic Fox is by far the best skiing holiday house i've been to and i try to go back as often as i can. I highly recommend this to families or groups of friends, you will definitely have a blast.
