Welcome to the Aspens, a perfectly situated mountain escape slope-side on Blackcomb.
The Aspens offers ski in/ski out accommodation in one of the best hill locations in Whistler. It is situated on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain just a short ski or walk down to the Wizard Express chair lift and the children's ski school. The Aspens is equipped with a heated swiming pool and three hot tubs, as well as a fitness room, laundry facilities, secure ski storage and under ground secure pay parking - all this within easy skiing or walking distance of the village and all its amenities. The gorgeous spa ensuite bathroom will be waiting for you at the end of the day. On the right is an open shower with rain shower head and hand held shower head. To the left is a large sit-in soaker tub which also had a hand held shower attachment. The tub easily seats 2 people.

This a spacious, well laid out open style 2 bedroom apartment. The main living area includes a gas fireplace, walk out to the balcony, the dining area and the kitchen. The bedrooms are positioned on either side of the living area to ensure privacy. The main bedroom includes a full ensuite while the second full bathroom is adjacent to the second bedroom. All views from the living area, and both bedrooms look out onto a quiet green space.

Beautiful fully equipped kitchen. This kitchen is equipped for everything from espresso coffee to dinner for 6. Everything is new, everything works, and it is fully equipped. The kitchen has 3 stools for an eating bar opposite the sink.

This lovely living area looks out over a green space with a peek a boo view of the lower slope on Blackcomb Mtn under the Wizard chair. This room has a gas fireplace, pull out queen sofa bed, and small desk area for a computer or to organize your stuff. There is seating for 4, and with the addition of dining chairs, the room comfortably seats 6 around the large coffee table.
There is a large flat screen TV over the fireplace. This TV is connected to a bluetooth soundbar system and an adapter is supplied so you can hook up your mobile device with video to the TV and soundbar.
There is a balcony off of the living room.
The dining table has a built in extendable leaf to expand the table. For a smaller table that seats 4 comfortably, the leaf is stored within the table. To expand the table, undo the fasteners under the table, pull the table apart, and open the leaf stored under the centre of the table. The large table seats 6 comfortably, and there are 6 dining chairs. The large table can be set up in the evening for dinner, and then made smaller after the meal to allow more space to move around.
This is one of the largest dining tables available in a 2 bedroom in The Aspens. You should note that most apartments do not have expandable tables and that tables are generally sized for 4 diners.

Location & Map
The Aspens is perfectly located on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain, very close to the Wizard chair.
In the winter, The Aspens offers:
- ski in ski out on Blackcomb Mountain
- Blackcomb Base in the Upper Village is located just down the hill from The Aspens. Ski or walk down to lift tickets, ski rentals, Blackcomb Kids, shops and restaurants.
- To ski Whistler Mtn take the Wizard Chair up Blackcomb Mtn, then take the Peak2Peak Gondola to Whistler.
In the summer, The Aspens is a five minute walk into the Village to catch the Whislter gondola for alpine hiking, or take the Wizard Chair to top of Blackcomb Mtn. Walk to Lost Lake and swim in a fresh mountain pond, or walk along the Valley Trail. Short ride down to the bike park. 5 Minute walk to the Chateau Golf Course.
Restaurants and shops are located in the Upper Village, which is a short stroll down the hill. Continue along from the Upper Village, go over Fitzsimmons Creek and you are in the Village.
For conference attendees, the Whistler Conference Centre is under a 10 minute walk, and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is just down the hill in the Upper Village.

Really enjoyed our stay in Whistler. We have been staying at the Aspen for years and this unit was one of the nicest. It was quiet and faced a green space with a view of trees. Very relaxing. Really appreciate the extra dishes and the second bedroom had a queen and single bed which was nice.
Kerry the manger was welcoming and easily accessible if you needed anything. She was flexible and accommodated our request for an extension on the check in and out times. If I could make a suggestion it would be to add a kettle for tea drinkers and a portable fan for the hot summer days to compliment the ceiling fans.

All in all our stay was excellent .... just a couple of points ... the condo was extremely hot on the couple of warm days we had especially the Master Bedroom ... even with the fan going it was still uncomfortably warm in the room .... the second thing was the pile of garbage and re-cycling in the separate building .... it appears that it is only collected once a week .... I was in there on Wednesday evening and Friday morning and the amount of garbage and the aroma was overwhelming ... probably the frequency needs to be increased in the warm weather.

Lovely unit facing the yard side of the Aspens. Instructions about getting there, how to use things are very helpful. It can get very warm in the summer due to morning and mid-day sun exposure, so the ceiling fans are very helpful but don't help much with the cool-down. Kitchen has tons of gadgets and useful things to use.
A small BBQ would be a nice addition to the deck. The walls a slightly thin in this development, so you can hear noises from other units or from the hallway.
Pool and hot-tubs are wonderful to use. Great location away from the crowds - a short walk to upper village shops and restaurants and a beautiful 10 minute nature walk to lower village.View Full Review

Very nice and clean apartment. Everything was in place and functional. We didn't want to pull out sofa bed, since they are typically uncomfortable, so we used our inflatable bed for the child in bedroom which had one king size bed. It all worked well.

Kerry was a wonderful host! Beautiful condo! We were prepared for the unit to be very hot from other reviews, so we brought two small fans with us. We also would open the door to the hallway to create a draft which helped a lot! Nice linens and a fully stocked kitchen - bring your Keurig coffee pods with you!

We brought extra fans with us this year because we had the same heat last year. Thank goodness for your ceiling fans! If you ever considered adding air conditioning to the bedrooms it would be fabulous!

The condo is considerably nicer than other condos in Aspens and in other properties in the same price range. I can tell as I've been coming to Whistler for 13-14 years and stayed in Aspens 2-3 times before. Highlights: good beds, cool master bath, high end kitchen appliances, nice natural pine or fir doors, cabinets and trim. But also other higher end nice things such as good WiFi and TVs; plus good balcony and good view to a wooded area on the quiet side of the complex.
For skiers, Aspens is strategically situated to make getting to and from the mountains very efficient and is also within a short 10-12 minute walk from the village. Get proper shoes in winter as the shortest path to the village goes via ~100 yards of a ski run.View Full Review

We stayed here for 3 weeks in summer. The Aspens is in a great location in that it's only 5 minute walk from the village; close enough to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet on a night. It has all the basics required for a holiday in Whistler whilst not being too pricey. The accommodation itself is fantastic, very modern and comfortable, good amount of space. Thank goodness you have ceiling fans! We brought two fans from home, but it never really helped. I realize that there is nothing besides installing air conditioning that would help the situation! This was our third stay here and just as good this time. Spacious and furnished to a high standard with everything you need. Very comfy master bed and nice deck to sit out on. The swimming pool and hot tubs are brilliant and each time we have found the staff very helpful and friendly. Its become our go-to place to stay and would highly recommend it.

I cant say one thing bad about this place! the apartment was amazing, high spec on every appliance and extremely comfy beds and sofas. the en suite has an amazing bath and is huge! only 5 mins walk from the village, pool and hot tubs for use at your leisure. I would definitely stay here again if I were to come back do yourselves a favour and book this apartment

We found 348 The aspens very comfortable, very clean, funky & new and the beds were very comfy, it was pimped out with kitchen gadgets - a great crock pot, a frother for hot chocolate & fancy coffee! The location was perfect, and was quiet, away from the pool & hot tubs. It worked very well for our three teenage kids, the girls shared a queen and our son was happy he got a bed, not the couch! It really suited us. I found the ease of ski in/out and the price made for a perfect family winter getaway. We've been to Whistler many times, this was one of the nicest places we stayed. I stayed in #348 with five friends ~ Jan 18-23, 2013. I highly recommend it for your vacation to Whistler/Blackcomb. The unit has been luxuriously remodeled with granite counters, a spa-like bathroom with lovely tiling, a warm fireplace, and views overlooking trees and grassy lawn. The hot tubs and heated pool are a wonderful retreat after a long ski day (you can ski right to the condo entrance area from BlackComb mtn!. This unit is positioned in a quiet place within the aspens. The condo's bedding arrangements comfortably fit groups of friends or family, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare yummy breakfasts or evening meals. Highly recommended!

On the whole it was good. It was incredibly hot in the condo so a/C would have been nice and even though fans were provided it was difficult to sleep. The kitchen worked great, bedrooms and bathrooms were good, the furniture was shabby and tired looking and not too comfortable but for the short time we stayed there it didnt matter too much . The location was good, the walk down to the village and back got a bit tiring as the path wasnt a proper one but again, nothing to worry about. I would stay here again but perhaps not in august as it was too hot inside.
Thank you for your review. This apartment has new bedroom furniture as of November 2011, including new mattresses. Plans are for further renovations in 2012.
