It is located at the very end of the view row in Trappers' Crossing adjacent to the ski in ski out access to Big White's sparkling powder.  We have a large, outdoor view hot tub on our deck. There are no buildings interfering with our incredible view of the snow covered Monashee Mountains to the south. The Big White sunlight streams through our large windows into our vaulted living/dining areas and loft. Our home is a PREMIUM unit - Big White's top of the line accommodation.  Our rates are per night and extremely reasonable for premium town homes with our location.  Unlike Big White Central Reservations there are no extra charges for individuals up to our maximum of 8.  Our rates are quoted in Canadian dollars. We charge the 5% GST tax as of April 1, 2013. You may use the Allura converter to change to different currencies. Check for SPECIALS as the season progresses.  If you are interested in a long term stay of more than a month please e-mail me.  The maximum # of adults for a stay of a month or more is 6.

 Property Description

Our townhouse is on two floors accessed by a short flight of steps to a covered porch. On the right of the front door is a large locked ski locker. You enter into a heated tile hall with a bench to remove ski outerware and boots and two large closets for storage. Turn the corner into the airy living and dining areas and walk over to the window for an awe inspiring view. The master suite is off the hallway.  Upstairs there is a bedroom with two bunk beds, one with a double lower bunk, a loft with a sofa bed and a TV with a huge collection of Disney children and family videocassettes and another bathroom with the laundry. To enter the garage go down the flight of stairs in front of the unit and you will reach the large, secure area for parking. Space for more than one vehicle available on request.  No walking throught the snow to reach your vehicles or the slopes.

Master bed and all bunk beds reported by guests to be very comfortable.  Loft has door and overlooks living/dining area.  Kids love the bunk beds and also the loft.

Special Features

Ours is one of the most desirable units in Big White. It is complete ski in ski out and, in fact, adjacent to the access. It is at the end of the row ensuring greater privacy and quiet, especially in the hot tub on our deck overlooking the Monashee Mountains. Not only the deck but also the living areas have a stupendous view across the valley to the mountains. In addition to all of that Trapper's Crossing is situated opposite the Village Centre where the Kids' Centre, the main lodge (tickets and rentals), the grocery and liquor store, restaurants and Lara's gondola (free) down to Happy Valley are all located.  In Happy Valley there is another lodge, the skating rink, the ice climbing towe, inner tubing and access to the cross country skiing area. Park your car in our secure garage area and forget it. Everything is in walking and skiing distance even for small children.

Our roomy townhouse has the space and the amenities to ensure a delightful stay for a group of friends or one to two families. Many properties in Big White have either a view, ski in ski out, a hot tub or easy access to the Village Centre. Very few, however, have all four - we do!  This is the best location in Big White for everything and is classified as 'PREMIUM' or top of the line accommodation. It is also a great location for families with children because of its close proximity to Big White's highly regarded Kids Centre and Tot Town Daycare. We also have lots of baby gear including stair gate and sled.

Extremely desirable location in modern development (2002)with ski in/ski out onto Perfection Run and Plaza Chair (beginners), Ridge Rocket and six seater Snow Ghost Express.  Immediate access to Village Centre Mall, Kids' Centre, Tot town Daycare, ticket office, bakery, Espresso stand, grocery store, Ski and Board School, equipment rentals, retail and restaurants. Short yellow gondola ride to lower village lodge, ice rink, 15.5 miles of cross country and snow shoe ski trails, inner tubing area and kids' snowmobile track.

Big White offers many activities and they are all close to our home - snowmobile tours, dog sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides, Silver Star day trips, spas, shopping shuttle to Kelowna and more. Don't miss the excellent bakery on the lower floor of the main lodge!

We do not charge a damage deposit at the time of booking. Suitability & Eligibility Policies

We welcome all guests who wish to enjoy the exhiliaration of skiing or boarding at Big White and who will respect and care for our propery as much as we do.  We have an excellent management service who keeps our home in tip top condition for our guests to enjoy.  Our home is suitable for all ages but especially for families with young chidren because of its proximity to services and the equipment we provide. We regret having to post a policy requiring that one member of the party be 25 years or older.  We have had many younger guests with a great sense of responsilibity and have on occasion waived this requirement.

Arrival Days Guests may arrive any day of the week.
Cancellations Made by Guests Loss of deposit. Balance, once paid, refundable only for amount rebooked less 5% cancellation fee.
Courtesy Hold Reservations We do not hold reservations without payment.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for delayed arrivals due to weather or any other factors.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information E-mailed when balance of payment is received.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site

Guest Stay Policies

Policy Description
Check-In Time 4pm. Earlier check-in may be available on request.
Check-Out Time 10am. You will be charged $35 if our cleaning service arrives and you are still in the suite. However, late check-out may be available. Need to request ahead of time.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs See 'Property Damage'.
Excessive Noise See 'Terms of Eviction'.
Garbage Removal Guests are requested to remove their garbage during their stay and on departure.
Housekeeping Provided on arrival and departure. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at guest's request and expense for $45.00/hour. 2 hour minimum.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal or bodily injury in our home, while in transit to our home, or while on resort property. We are also excluded from liability forlost, dmaged or stolen guest items outside of our property.
Maintenance Emergencies 24/7 service. Complete emergency contact provided once balance paid.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 8 people overnight and 5 for stays of one month or longer. Excess numbers will result in eviction

Groceries

Check at BigWhite.com The airport shuttle stops for groceries
Costco at corner where turn off to Big White. Great natural foods grocery store (Choices) on right as you drive through Kelowna. Only small grocery store in Big White. Recommend purchasing most items in Kelowna. There is a state liquor store in BW.

Mountain Orientation

Tours are usually at 10am and 1 or 2 pm If the weather or snow conditions are a bit iffy it is a great idea to get a free tour of the mountain from one of the knowledgeable hosts. They know the best places to go under all circumstances

Driving to Big White

If not 4 wheel drive take chains From Seattle suggest take Bellingham exit to Sumas. Suggest get gas before the border. The roads are excellent all the way but be prepared for wintry mountain road conditions.

Don't Forget!

There is a Costco at the corner where you turn right to get onto the road up to Big White. Remember to get gas before you reach Big White. There is no gas station there but there are plenty in Kelowna as you drive through.

 About Us

My name is Vivien and I welcome you to Big White.   I have skied with my family since the children were small and first visited Big White several years ago.  We discovered it was a wonderful ski resort for familes with miles of terrain to suit everybody.

We love the spring skiing at Big White - lots of sunshine, wonderful spring snow and long days.  It is also wonderful to be able to come home, fix lunch, have a siesta and go out on the mountain again.  We love to cross country ski too and there are such great trails also reachable from our home by ski. 

If you drive to Big White you can park in the garage underneath the building and if you come by shuttle you will not miss your vehicle as everything is reachable by foot, or gondola.

 At Big White there is everything  you need other than a lot of nightlife.  There is always a great meal at one of the really good restaurants within walking distance or preparing a tasty meal in our superbly equipped kitchen, relaxing in our fantastic hot tub and playing a game or watching a movie in our cosy living room.
