| Fill up your gas tank before you arrive | Get your major food supplies in Kamloops at Costco, Super Store, Safeway, etc before coming up the mountain. There are limited food supplies on the mountain if you run short and we have a new small grocery store in the Village. Plan ahead as it is limited. Also, Costco sells Sun Peaks ski passes at a discount . You might take note that all major ski resorts sell discount tickets in the local Costco, etc. The savings is very good. |
John has skied in the Eastern USA, Colorado, Utah, California, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington, in Canada at Whistler, Big White, Silver Star, Revelstoke & Eastern Canada, Japan, Switzerland and Austria. (Mary reads & enjoys the Village, occasionally tackles snowshoes, or games with grandchildren, while John skis.) SUN PEAKS is an extraordinary ski resort, especially with our SKI-IN/SKI-OUT TRAILS EDGE Townhouse. The MAIN VILLAGE is well designed. The mountain has perfectly groomed slopes, snow making equipment, no lines and no need for a car to enjoy your stay. Since SUN PEAKS is so far north and 300 miles inland from the coast, its weather is perfect for continuous excellent snow conditions from mid-November until April. Because the Top of the Mountain is 7,000 feet one does not have to deal with the oxygen and weather problems of a 11,000 foot resort. The drive from Vancouver is four hours on an all weather highway. It is also a great drive or quick flight from SEATTLE. Already SUN PEAKS is one of the places in North America to go to be assured of excellent skiing. Now, with the completion of the eighteen holes golf course, SUN PEAKS is becoming a summer resort complemented by hiking and mountain biking.
